I've never been into fighting games but man, those desings are horrible even if they were going for maximum sex appeal. It's the same character with a palette swap.

Oh man, I thought that those were the same character in different costumes.

Not to mention *Spoiler* one is the clone of another, so in that instance it's alright that they look the same.

It's Mortal Kombat. Practically every character is a pallette swap. Just take a look at all the male ninjas. If it weren't for their different colored outfits, you'd never be able to tell them apart.

I like how everyone's jumping defensively on you with "they're SUPPOSED to look shitty and unoriginal JEEZ"

I will probably always have a soft spot for Jade and Princess Kitana because I loved them back when I was a pre-teen and into Mortal Kombat. I haven't touched any of the games in ages, though, and I have no idea how I'd feel about them now.

I'm just jealous of their impossible boob gravity.

...I am really amused by those half-masks, to be honest. Really? You think it's people seeing your face that's gonna give you away as the Half-Nude Ninja? Really?

I always thought it was to filter toxins out of the air.

Definitely feel this way. It was the only thing that allowed my conscience to relax enough for me to play the game. It's like the only fighting game i like.

Also, Sindel is awesome.

Agreed, especially for a fighting game. The story of Kitana and Mileena is heartbreaking and interesting. I liked how Legacy touched on their stories and I hope they include more.

I remain miffed that not only were the alternate costumes just as revealing, but that out of all the female characters, EVERY DAMN ONE dressed like this. I could buy a few of them having revealing tastes, or dressing so revealing for story reasons, but EVERY one? I thought variety was the spice of life? Some of the guy's designs were actually quite practical too...

Same here. In fact, I wouldn't have even minded if Kitana, Jade and Mileena dressed that way because it's what Shao Kahn wants women in his realm to wear (his slaves in the arena have very similar outfits), but then wtf is Sonya wearing that "police uniform" for? An unzipped jacket that lets your cleavage fall out is not a police uniform! Regardless of whether you stick a badge over your nipple!

I think it would have been pretty cool to see the women of Earthreal dressed in practical battle gear, while the women of Outworld were forced to wear revealing bikinis. It would have really emphasized just how horrible it is living in Outworld, especially for women.

Personality and plot-wise, I would agree. Kitana has always been one of my favorite female characters from a video game.

Same here--I was the biggest fantard back in my wee years, I even learned how to fight with steel fans.

Speaking of, the real thing is a damn sight heavier than what the games imply.

Or Kitana is just that strong, which is probably more likely.
