It's more that Florence+The Machine is very dear to me and has been very important in my life these past few months (as mainstream as it may sound) and I don't want to associate it with freakin' Supernatural.

Why do you make it like 'Supernatural' is a vile thing that would ruin the album for you if you were slightly reminded of it? It doesn't sound like you even have seen the show. Is it trendy to just hate something because it's popular?

I tried to watch the show (a friend of mine lent me the season 1 DVD set), but I could only get halfway through it.

Supernatural events are just not my thing on TV and this particular show was definitely not helping me in that department. I don't actively hate it, but I dislike it enough to want to keep it separate from the things I do like. If this makes any sense to anybody.

What makes you think I don't appreciate the music for what it is?

I think Ceremonials is a brilliant, beautiful, emotional album, a perfect follow-up to Lungs (which has a few catchier songs, but also a few almost-duds). I've listened to it over and over, thought about it, analyzed it, felt it and breathed it and loved it.

I love how universal the lyrics and the melodies are, how Florence has admitted that the songs aren't that specifically symbolic, and how that seems like an invitation to interpret the songs yourself, which makes them even more meaningful. I first heard "Dog Days Are Over" when a period of long depression in my life came to a close and it became my anthem; I listened to Ceremonials and found it to be a beautiful, complicated, bright, subtle album.

The songs on it also just happen to remind me of the relationship (note: not necessarily the "'ship") between Dean and Castiel, which I find to be a beautiful, complicated, bright, subtle relationship.
