Where did it get specified that it was rape in the ghettos? All I remember is that something terrible happened to her, but I don't think they went into it.

Very weird that there's both a pro-Nina secret and two anti-Nina ones. Coincidence or have we got some trollin'?

Given the other two Code Geass secrets that are very similar in the skeletal content (gender bending)and the three on her. I would put my money on troll or someone desperately trying to reignite the fandom.

Well, I WILL say this: I totally agree with you on the double standard of boys love vs. girls love. It bugs me when fans are like "I hate Nina because she's a racist, and annoying, and helped a mass murder, and because she was a LESBIAN." Oh, so being lesbian is as bad as the rest of those things? Thanks. Fine example of political correctness, there. Yes, the scene where she masturbates to thoughts of Euphemia was squick, but masturbating to thoughts of your crush really isn't that weird. At least she didn't kill her crush's love interest or anything (*cough* Rolo.) Oh wait, he's a cute boy killing another cute boy's girlfriend. Well, that's okay, then...

And I'm not a big fan of the character AT ALL (as I've said every. single. time. one of these secrets pops up) but the double standard thing really isn't cool. And neither is the misogyny in the secrets above.

I see this whiny defense every single time, no matter the fandom or context for a ~~female~~ character's criticism. It's weak, it's overused. Come up with something more original if you want to defend something.

Given that Jeremiah is just as racist in the first season (and probably worse, since he likes to go around fighting Japanese people for the lulz), and even in the second never shows the slightest bit of remorse or apology for his racism but still manages to be a fan favourite, I'd have to agree with this.

But I just find it weird the way single out Nina to hate for her racism, while ignoring that half the damn characters are also racist and prior to FLEIJA much more damaging about it.
