OP here, and I'm happy to oblige! I was gonna list them all when submitting the secret, but I figured it'd be really clunky and take up lots of space. Plus, it also would've meant no questions and consequently no chance to talk about these *is desperate, and will take whatever she can get at this point*

I don't know any of those fandoms but...

As far as shipping "potential" goes, that's mostly a matter of opinion. I think Jet and Spike from Cowboy Bebop are "totally married" (albeit in a dysfunctional way) but that makes pretty much all the rest of the fandom back away slowly. (And that's not even counting the people who think it's blasphemy to ship in Bebop.)

I don't think I'm wrong and I don't think they're wrong. I wish there were more fanworks for them but, meh, at least there are a few good ones.

tl;dr There's nothing wrong with shipping something other people don't ship.

Since I can't resist talking about this...

One older story that is probably my favorite for the pairing is Ballad of Ain't Coming Back (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1373011/1/Ballad_of_Aint_Comin_Back) which is at ff.net.

And for a PWP I like End of the Evening (http://anime.adultfanfiction.net/story.php?no=7121) which is really old and I think only up at aff.net. (It may be so old that it contains typos from the time the archive messed stuff up years ago. Not sure about that, but it was the first explicit yaoi fic I ever read and I really like it.)

Also I recommend the stuff at Archive of Our Own. I'm a little reluctant to say that because I (TeaRoses) wrote a lot of the stuff there and I don't like to promote my own work but I guess it's not awful and some of the other stuff is really good -- especially anything by QDS. There are a couple I haven't read, though, so I'd better get on that.

I remember a long time ago I tried to find Jet/Spike stuff. I vaguely recall running face-first into some weirdness with fragile-uke!Spike, which is what made me go running back to Vicious/Spike, lol. But there's a ton of potential in that pairing. Any recs?

I read a couple of really strange ones a long time ago, one of which was Jet/Spike/somebody's Mary Sue but most of the fic I've found is pretty solid -- it's just that there's so little of it.

Spike bottoms in some of the sex ones, but they should be free of anyone being a stereotypical uke. (Though a couple of the AO3 ones I haven't read.)

(Vicious/Spike has the benefit of practically being canon if you ask me... XD)

You and me both, OP.

Hiei/Kurama, Sanji/Zoro, Vegeta/Goku, Vegeta/Bulma, Zuko/Katara, Kid Flash/Artemis, etc, etc, etc.

None of the most popular fan (or canon) pairings do much for me, as I find alot of them can be based on putting the 'pretty/handsome' characters together, regardless of personality, or they have too many spats in the series. I'm not one of those people who think constant fighting = love in fandom.

I usually go for pairings where there's enough of a personality clash to be interesting, but usually get along well and actually show some respect/caring for each other. My icon is a good idea of one of my favorite pairings, along with Zoro/Usopp and other more obscure pairs.
