25. Look, ignore all the people who are telling you that this is wrong or bad, etc, etc. It's not wrong. Everyone has fetishes, and some of them can be weird or even disturbing. This doesn't mean that there's anything mentally or emotionally wrong with you. The phrase "whatever floats your boat" should be generously applied here.
I'd only suggest you get therapy if you know this is the result of some kind of trauma, or if it genuinely interferes with your having a healthy sex life. Otherwise, the only things you need help with are learning to accept your kink without guilt and finding others like you so you can have people to relate to.

(Anonymous) 2007-07-09 02:17 am (UTC)(link)The phrase 'whatever floats your boat' should only apply as long as other people aren't getting harmed. If fantasies start to circle around killing people and other things of violent nature, there certainly is a reason to worry. Of course in many cases these fantasies won't be acted on, but in some it happens and things get ugly for *other* people.
I'm a tolerant person, but tolerance should only go as far as reasonable thought, and should not be abused as an excuse for everything and anything.

S&M often does do physical harm, and that's a well-accepted and highly-practiced kink. If you had been asked about S&M, I'm sure even you'd readily admit that it applies to the "float your boat" philosophy. Rape fantasy and eroguro are no different.
As with all "violent" fetishes, as long as both partners are consenting, trust each other, and there's a safe word in place, there's no problem. None of the kinks I've mentioned are even remotely similar to pedophilia or actual rape, and shame on you for implying such.

(Anonymous) 2007-07-09 08:25 am (UTC)(link)You dragging out pedophilia as an example shows just how little you understand about people and their interests. An interest in something not deemed acceptable by others is not a crime. I'm interested in speeding down the highway over the posted limit of 60pmh. Am I a criminal? D=

In other words, all her emotional problems with this particular issue could be completely resolved if people like Anonymous #1 could learn to pull their heads out of their asses.

(Anonymous) 2007-07-09 07:05 pm (UTC)(link)There's a big, big difference between getting off on something in fiction and getting off on it in real life.
I get off on violent hentai. Tentacle rape, snuff, that sort of thing. It's a fantasy, it's not real, I just like it if it's drawn images or written stories. In real life, rape and violence disgust me in ways I can't even put into words.
Just because you're into something in a fantasy and fictional context does not mean there is any desire to act on it in real life.

Lucky bitch...

It's amazing her parents are actually paying for her school when she's old enough to file for financial aid as an independent student, but even that won't last forever. One day she'll be forced to fend for herself, and she'll have to confront the fact that the world isn't woven together from rose petals and diamonds.
(#11 OP here)
(Anonymous) 2007-07-09 08:45 pm (UTC)(link)Someday her parents are going to run out of money or patience, yep, and... well, I work in nursing care of former homeless people, so maybe we'll meet again!
(She mocked me for the nursing job because it's "abandoning my dream." Which is... sort of true, I'd rather be a French-pastry-taste-tester or maybe a professional-Alyson-Hannigan-kisser, but God damn, if everyone lived their dreams we'd have nothing to eat and the toilets wouldn't flush. I don't think getting absolutely everything you want is the only acceptable life goal.)
Re: (#11 OP here)
Holy shit, I am quitting my job and applying for that one.
if everyone lived their dreams we'd have nothing to eat and the toilets wouldn't flush
I'm sure someone, somewhere must have a dream of being the BEST DAMN PLUMBER EVER.
if only for the prospect of hearing the voice of a princess calling for help and then busting into a kingdom full of evil turtles and mushrooms for the purposes of Grand Adventure and grabbing coins.Re: (#11 OP here)
Me too. Lol.
