Look at the replies too. I am not saying the OP's situation is as extreme as the person writing in was, but pressuring someone to engage in something they are uncomfortable with (whether it is because of time or otherwise) is sleezy. Whether it is done OOCly or ICly. In roleplay, some people are in it for cybering and do not respect the feelings of those who aren't. At the very least, this is selfishness, and the most, it is sexual harassment.
OP, you need to lay down the law. Tell this person it is making you uncomfortable, and tell them to stop it. If they make protests based on how their character is, tell them you are willing to RP a resolution ICly. (Basically, do a little mini-plot where you character breaks and confronts the character on the way they behave, and have the other character come to a understanding even if it is 'if I dont stop, this person will break my fingers'.) If they still protest, drop 'em. You can find a new RP partner and trust me, it is NEVER worth the stress.

(Anonymous) 2012-03-08 04:22 am (UTC)(link)It might seem silly because OP's talking about a conversation in character but I know that that kind of thing feels like harassment when you're on the receiving end of it.
