(Anonymous) 2012-03-08 03:46 am (UTC)(link)And are you serious that hypersexuals aren't discriminated against? Hypersexual women? Excuse me?

(Anonymous) 2012-03-08 03:50 am (UTC)(link)Yeah, hypersexuals can sometimes be discriminated against but it's not any sort of oppression that renders them comparable to aces. Discrimination against hypersexual women is rooted in misogyny not in her hypersexuality.

(Anonymous) 2012-03-08 04:13 am (UTC)(link)what if someone told you that asexual women face discrimination due to societal misogyny and sexism and not asexuality? how dare you try to explain hypersexuality to hypersexuals!
ugh this whole thread.

(Anonymous) 2012-03-08 04:27 am (UTC)(link)Hypersexuals aren't sexually privileged over asexuals, we're all non-sexuals and therefore discriminated by sexual normative society. But whatever, continue to care more about the purity of your own oppression than accepting other non-sexual identities. I'm sure you're making the sexual majority real happy by letting them pit us against each other.

(Anonymous) 2012-03-08 04:39 am (UTC)(link)YOU ARE NOT NONSEXUAL
YOU MAY BE AROMANTIC
BUT YOU ARE NOT ASEXUAL
THIS IS NOT THAT HARD TO UNDERSTAND

(Anonymous) 2012-03-08 04:54 am (UTC)(link)People who aren't sexuals (i.e, who do not have normative sex drives and feelings of sexual attraction) are NON-sexuals. It doesn't mean they don't experience sexual attraction like asexuals, just that they're are not included in the privileged group 'sexuals' because they diverge from that norm. Asexuals are non-sexuals. Demisexuals are non-sexuals. Hypersexuals are non-sexuals. It doesn't mean they don't experience sexual attraction, just that they aren't sexuals. Get it?

(Anonymous) 2012-03-08 05:05 am (UTC)(link)It's their identity, asshole. Lay off. How does it hurt you for them to identify as they wish? You're making yourself look like those jerks that think asexuals shouldn't be considered queer.

(Anonymous) 2012-03-08 05:12 am (UTC)(link)I'm asexual, and IA with AYRT. How is having a catch-all term to refer to all people who fall outside of the sexual norm a bad thing? IDG how that's appropriative.

(Anonymous) 2012-03-08 05:15 am (UTC)(link)Non-sexually-normative perhaps.
(frozen comment) no subject
(Anonymous) 2012-03-08 05:17 am (UTC)(link)And non-sexually-normative is a mouthful, TBH.
(frozen comment) no subject
(Anonymous) 2012-03-08 05:20 am (UTC)(link)We can confuse the normative-sexuals with it :D
