I just wish they'd followed the manga more closely when it came to Supers S and Stars. The Outers were totally neglected for the Supers S anime and the Starlights dominated Stars way too much. If they could re-do anything in the show, I'd prefer that. I don't really like much of the early manga.

Yeah, there really was no excuse for the anime cutting out Haruka & Michiru's characters (there's at least plot reasons why Setsuna & Hotaru wouldn't be there until the end). They really seemed to think the Starlights were more interesting characters than they actually were - the only slightly tolerable one was Seiya.

I'd love a revival, but what I'd like is a combination of the anime and manga. Characterizations of the Inners and Villains from the anime, characterization of the Outers from the manga, and the plot would follow the more adult manga storylines - but with slower pacing. Pacing has to be the biggest problem with either version of Sailor Moon. The anime moves way too slowly, the manga moves way too fast. And, though it is unlikely to happen, it would be nice if there was an indisputable scene that Haruka & Michiru are a couple - the arguments and utter denial people used to have back in the day drove me crazy.

I don't remember for sure, but didn't Ikuhara leave after Supers? I feel like that could explain the lack of the Outers, who he loved. Then again, I could be totally wrong about this, so.
