But Ros neeeded screentime! How can you expect the Hound to get screentime when there are boobies to be shown!

More seriously, a friend of mine asked me why Sandor called Sansa 'Little Bird' when she's taller than pretty much everyone around her. I think that perfectly symbolized how the showrunners are neglecting important character interactions. They included the nickname, but didn't bother to include how it came about and what it signifies. That's all pretty big stuff.

I haven't seen the show that aired tonight (Tivoed it for tomorrow), but my fear is that they'll cut the "sing for me little bird" scene because now it wouldn't make sense at all, and I *love* that scene. I love that he cries when she sings that hymn for him. That says so much about his character (and I love that that was the song she instinctively chose to sing -- that said a lot about her too).

And I'm not even really a shipper! I don't see how they could possibly have a satisfying relationship. But I did enjoy their interactions in the books.

Yeah, I think what actually disappoints me the most about them taking out the scene between them after the tournamet is that it meant never planting the origin of the "little bird" thing and the actual explanation of that metaphor. The only thing that gave it any kind of meaning in that episode was that later he said "Someone take her back to her cage."

I was happy that the name actually came up for once because at this point all the SanSan stuff has been so neglected that just getting that much seems like a lot, but introducing it that way gives it none of the significance it's supposed to have, especially since he first calls her that in a mocking way before it starts to seem more like a term of endearment.
