I agree, Anon. Unfortunately, discussions about reviewing usually get a lot of backlash from people who think that authors are entitled if they express a preference for reviews. It always makes me wonder why people so determined NOT to leave a simple "Thanks, I liked your fic!" for fics they enjoy?

Apparently writers should be pumping out chapters without any hope of feedback and we're horrible ingrates if we don't.

Well, if it bugs you that much, you always have the option to stop writing.

And before you ask, yes, I'm a writer and one whose stories don't get very many reviews or favorites. I don't care - I'll keep writing until I run out of ideas even if I don't get any recognition.

Seems like a strange outlook. I write because I want to, and I'll write with or without reviews. But I still prefer to receive reviews than not - I just think it's nice to get them.
