I liked both MIB3 and The Avengers so I don't see why anyone would be really upset at you for that? They're both really fun.

I definitely disagree with you about Thor, though.

(Also, sidenote, I somehow missed every pop culture thing about MIB EVER, so I assumed it was some kind of spy thing with a lot of boring men in suits, so I was all "Bwuh, aliens?!" when I actually went to see it)

Men In Black was a big thing in the nineties, and Will Smith was known as the fourth of July guy (this came on the heels of Independence Day - that's a good movie to watch, OP. Kinda dated now, but fun).

I'm glad that MIB3 is getting good reviews. I'm going to see it today over SWATH (that's getting too much comments along the lines of, "It's okay" to go and spend £8.50 on a cinema ticket).
