The whole "first world problems/white people problems" thing is really... weird, for real. Like, nonwhite people do things other than sit around and starve and be noble and be noble, starving people. We have feelings too. We are, you know, people. I mean, thinking that Gatby and Co. are annoying is perfectly understandable because that was the point, and I wish more books like this were written about POC, but yeah. Not only white people have drama in their lives.

You missed the rich part, btw. Notice I didn't say white people problems.
I didn't mean that problems like drama and adultery are exclusive to white people, but the book happens to be about rich white people experiencing problems, not poor non-white people experiencing problems.
IMO the people in the book came off as pretty privileged, since the time period the book is set in has non-white people who probably have bigger problems to think about than adultery (and I'm not saying they didn't have to worry about adultery and relationships drama). Of course the book is set up in such a way that there's no need to think about non-white people. I happen to think about these things even if they're not mentioned in the reading, so of course I'm a little biased. Doesn't mean I'm dismissing the actual focus of the books as irrelevant or as something to scoff at; I just pointed out what the focus of the books looks like to me, personally.
