This is how I feel when I go to a library..Searching for some gay romance fiction and realize that its 99% white het romance and no gayness in sight..But I guess that's what I get from reading teen lit.

Huh, that's funny, 'cause it seems to me to be more gay fiction in YA than in adult novels. My bias is fantasy novels, so that might have something to do with it. Anyway, there are several blogs/sites about what books have homosexual romances in them - I might have a few links if you have a specific genre you prefer.

Not the original anon, but could I maybe trouble you for some links to these blogs/sites that list lit homosexual romances? Please and thank you? I've been looking for such books for ages now. (Not picky on the genre, though I am partial to action and/or crime and mystery).

http://www.alexsanchez.com/gay_teen_books.htm has a great list. And I'd recommend Alex Sanchez anyway, as an author.

Thank you very much! I'll definitely have to check some of these out.

Okay, since I'll be doing links, I'm just gonna unanon.

The Lesbrary is focused on Lesbian literature and is my favorite site (as I prefer female-focused books over male). They also have a Tumblr. They update a lot.

Gay/Lesbian Fiction Book Reviews are more focused on G/L authors, but that obviously translates to a lot of homosexual fiction, too.

The Outer Alliance is the main sci-fi/fantasy one I read - they don't update very often, but their recommended reading list links to a lot of other sites/lists.

Those are the only ones I really check, but you can easily find a ton more sites by browsing the links of those ones. The Lesbrary's link bar is awesome especially.

Hope that helps!

Thank you very much as well! Looks like I'll have a ton of books to keep myself occupied over the summer! :)

OMFG! Where has the Lesbrary been all my life??? It's been right here, apparently, waiting for you to link me. Thank you so so so so so so much for putting this on my radar.

Haha, no problem. I had just about the same reaction when I first found it, too. Before that, all the G/L sites I'd found had only a few f/f recs - almost everything was m/m. And while I'm sometimes happy to read books with male leads, my true love is kickass heroines. Add kickass female love interests and it's the best. thing. ever.

Wow, thanks so much for the link and the love! I really appreciate it!

Oh! I didn't expect you to find this little comment/rec, haha. Well, the rec is very much deserved - thanks so much for your great site and Tumblr!

In my library I've only seen 2 gay YA books but then again my library sucks soo..I'd like some recs if possible.

HA, this. This is why i found slash in the first place - looking online for the kind of stories i wasn't finding *anywhere* in rl. M/F white-bread romance? Good gods, that's been boring to me since i was 12 years old.
