/unpopular opinion is unpopular

Probably shouldn't be commenting as I'm almost a whole season behind but...I've never been a big fan either, OP. That said I do realize the show needs secondary characters so from that standpoint, I can understand them not wanting to permanently off him. And yes, the fandom is in love with him too, so that certainly doesn't hurt, but TPTB probably have reasons beyond that for keeping him around.

Can I just say thank you for being a rational human being about this and seeing that whatever your personal tastes may be (which are totally valid!) they don't automatically apply to everyone? It's a sadly rare phenomenon.
