I missed the train the other day when everyone was responding to the CLAMP orgasm secret and I was hoping to continue it here. TMI obviously.

I have what I would call orgasm "waves" in which I have one real big one followed by smaller and smaller ones all in a row (usually 5 or 6) until they stop and then I'm like NOPE can't touch anywhere even near there for at least 10 minutes because everything is just way too sensitive to the point that it's nearly painful. Oh and the clamping/clenching thing. I do that hardcore. I was baffled to read that other females have multiple orgasms spread out over longer sessions rather than all at once like I do.

Okay TMI time but I had a similar problem masturbating laying on my back when I was younger and after experimenting I realized I was just getting out of the gate too fast and the longer I drew out the build up the more intense the climax. Also for me the combination of tensing and relaxing muscles has an impact on the intenseness. Also some friends I have only experience strong orgasms depending on positioning, only during penetration some kind of, or have to use a specific dildo or showerhead, etc. You might just need to find out what does it for you?

Nah, that's an orgasm. It took me awhile to realize that's what they were because my first ones were really lackluster. However, mine have gotten more powerful over time for some reason or another. I wouldn't necessarily call them mind-numbing, but I've had a few that were strong enough to dull my hearing and make my extremities tingly.

Have you tried edging for awhile? Like, bring yourself really close to orgasm, then back off for a bit and just keep yourself right on the edge there for awhile before going all the way. Or maybe try some sort of vibrator, or internal stimulation?

Or it could be that you just naturally don't have intense orgasms. But 90% of the fun is getting there anyway, right? :)

I tried that but slowing down or stopping makes it impossible to keep going. :(

I guess I'll try internal stimulation at some point. It's not that I'm not satisfied as it is, thankfully, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed after all I've heard.

Do you masturbate with porn? I'm almost incapable of getting past the first stages of arousal without constant visual stimulation (except maaaybe if I'm using a vibe), so I've always masturbated with porn, which I find keeps my arousal high even if I briefly let up on stimulation or shift to less-direct stimulation.

If nothing else, internal stimulation, if you're aroused and can find the right spot and angle, can feel amazing, even if it's really hard to actually achieve orgasm that way (in my experience). Which could be a good way to edge up to near-orgasm for awhile without peaking! Every woman's body is different, of course, so the best thing to do is experiment! :)

But I would say that overall, descriptions of orgasms in fiction are probably overblown, though.

See these are the sort of things that I'm interested in learning about. I don't have a ton of female friends that are willing to talk about this kind of stuff, so it's interesting to me to learn new things. Everyone just assumes that everybody else is just like them when it comes to this stuff, but it isn't true.

I personally am an extremely sexual person (in spite of witholding from sex for many years now...), I'm very in tune with my body and what it takes to get me where I need to go.

Does anyone here ever have orgasms in their sleep? I wake up having one sometimes, which is nice, unless I'm sharing a hotel with someone or something :/

Instead of slowing down try lightening your touches or alternating pressure but maintain whatever speed you prefer. Or instead of directly touching the clitoris sort of sandwich it with two fingers. Also, depending on other factors sometimes I only achieve orgasm using a circular motion, others only with a back and forth motion.

My orgasms can sometimes be quite long. Like, they last at least 10-15 seconds after I stop stimulating myself. And sometimes I feel dizzy after it's done, even if I don't move at all.

Well, I've never actually timed it so this is just an estimate, but I guess about 25 seconds. I remember reading once that the average for female orgasms is 10-15 seconds, but that was a long time ago.

Jealous, mine are almost never that long. I guess I am pretty much a guy, orgasm-wise - I have an orgasm that usually lasts I guess 2-5 seconds and then don't want to be touched anywhere near my clit for a while, so I don't do multiple orgasms at all. I wonder if it's anything to do with testosterone levels - mine are relatively high.

The first orgasm I ever had still might be the best, though. I was just using my hand while reading porn, and I was thrumming all the way to my ears for maybe ten seconds and I didn't know what I was doing at all - I didn't know if this was it because of all the lolol mindnumbing pleasure bs I'd read about. I can't touch my clit right after I'm done either - if I do, I orgasm again, but it's kind of uncomfortable and not nearly as pleasant as the first one.
I don't know how often you masturbate, but have you tried waiting a few days before you do it again, to build up the excitement, so to speak? I've found that when I do that, I can last the longest and/or have the strongest orgasms.
And I can't even remember my first orgasm, I think I've been doing it since before I knew what masturbation was lol.

Yeah, it can be better if it's been a while, but I usually only orgasm once every few days anyway, and usually CAN'T orgasm more than twice a day at most - I need the buildup. I guess like most people do, I have phases - I'll orgasm twice a day for a while and then go back to only bothering once every week or two. No, this isn't related to my menstrual cycle.

I didn't have an orgasm until I was 17. Before that I didn't masturbate but did like making myself horny, usually by reading pretty tame softcore scenes, but just for its own sake; I still weirdly miss being able to enjoy that.
