isn't Coulson's actor still signed on for a bunch more movies...?

Yep! There's even speculation (not sure of original source, but I've seen it here and there) that Fury lied about Coulson being dead to motivate the team.

Him being signed only means he's required to do it when asked. It doesn't mean they have to ask him. Ray Park and Tyler Mane were both signed to do two more X-Men movies, but the producers decided not to use Toad anymore and recast Sabretooth.

I actually found I enjoy it, mainly because it's so terribly silly but yeah reason I started watching it was because of my Coulson :D

That's a perfectly fine reason to watch it. I like living in my little bubble of 'Coulson is not dead.' Currently I'm relying on 'no one really dies in comic books' and 'if they want him back he'll be back.'

haha, I like it for the Peter/Harry ho yay that crops up every once in a while (they were my first OTP okay)

Fury and Coulson don't hurt either...

The Peter/Harry is super cute in it, right? Pretty occasional, but when they have a moment it's delightful. It helps that Peter is like canonically "like a sister, no" about Mary Jane.

Until you find out otherwise, keep believing OP! Since people die and come back to life in comic books all the time (IF he even died in the first place), it should at least be a possibility for him. And he is very popular with the fanbase, so maybe he has a chance?

And hey, even if we find out he really IS dead...that's what fanfic is for. And head-canon.

See, I watched the episode with Thor and Loki while I was still at the peak of my Loki kick, and I was laughing almost the whole time. I can see why it might not appeal to everyone -- it's very corny -- but it strikes me as the kind of show that's meant for a laugh more than anything else. Most superhero shows I've seen aren't like that, so maybe that's why it rubs some people the wrong way (hell, even Teen Titans took itself a little more seriously than this show does).

Anyhoo, any time Coulson shows up I get super excited, so I can understand why you'd watch it just for him.

Perfect timing, as I just started watching this after seeing a secret about it yesterday(?). And yeah, main reason I decided to give it a go was because Coulson's alive in it, so you're definitely not alone, OP!

I'm actually loving it, though; it's plain silly and feel-good and the humour is right up my alley, though I wish Spidey would undergo some character growth already and stop hitting my embarrassment squick so hard every episode. :/ I have more problems with Iron Fist's characterization than Peters, but then it's a different universe. As long as Peter is still a science geek all is well for me. :P

This show makes me think it's trying to mix elements of Teen Titans, Batman Brave and the Bold, and Family Guy (eta: and also The Weekenders. omg with the fourth wall grey background talking to the audience thing ohhhh disney) while also trying to lead it with a very off Deadpool expy. It basically fails. tbf though, I don't ever expect Marvel cartoons to ever be awesome. Just enjoyable, which this one still is.



the wolverine episode is my favourite because I don't actually have standards or consistent taste shut up.

Yeah, it's like DC does the excellent cartoons, and the so-so movies. Marvel does the excellent movies and the so-so cartoons.

I mean, compare Superhero Squad to Brave and the Bold. Both going for the same demographic, but one of them did it without ever talking down to that demographic, and made it something that everyone could enjoy.

I'm starting to think I am the only one who honestly love this show and consider Coulson just a nice plus into it.
Seriously people, what's wrong with this show? It makes me laugh like there's no tomorrow, I honestly thought it would be loved by more people...
