And one more baby!
Evarcha arcuata
This tiny baby won't be much bigger even when it's fully grown. Coming in at only about half a centimeter to a centimeter in length when fully grown, this tiny spider comes in brown and white for girls and glossy black and copper for boys. This one's still a baby and it's a little hard to say what it is, but I think it's probably a boy. Here's another look at the tiny thing:

(Anonymous) 2012-07-16 11:11 pm (UTC)(link)At one point, can you make a post devoted to adult housecats? People are so bad about adopting grown-up cats instead of kittens.

(Anonymous) 2012-07-17 03:14 am (UTC)(link)I have a black cat myself, and have had two others over the years. They are the most sweet-tempered cats I have ever met. They really should be taken home more often. Bombay cats, for example, are specifically known to be very good with children. Thank you in advance for including them!!!

Re: Baby cats and baby spiders!
Spiders really can't tell or identify humans- we're way too big for them! Like some kind of odd moving mountain. It's the same in the sense that we simply wouldn't be able to take in the size of a huge hill at one go and only see a bit at once; spiders are the same with regards to people. At most, they only see a bit of you and depending on their nature, might either be scared and ball up then run away when they think you're not looking, be scared and just run away or be curious and hop over and investigate (Jumping spiders. Always. I have yet to find an un-curious one, photographing them is a problem when they keep trying to jump on the camera).
Also, a spider really won't bite unless it feels actively threatened. Venom is important to them and they wouldn't want to waste it! Also, 'big huge blobs' really don't register as food. If you can see a spider, that's a good thing! Chances are it doesn't really want to have anything to do with you, so just scoop it up into a cup and let it out. Most spiders are pretty neutral / friendly towards people, and they also eat bugs, so they're good little critters in my books.
