I can buy that. When a character is made out explicitly to be a dominant through and through and that is legit part of their character, it would be OOC for them to be passive. Even if they're the one being penetrated, they would still be the one in charge.

Besides, it's not like you're pointing to some guy on a random TV show whose sexuality and sex life has never been canon and insisting he's a 100% top. The comic is yaoi/BL, very tropey, and genuinely backs your stance up. So I don't see a problem with this unless Cain's character changes all of a sudden.

I don't know the comic so I really don't know what I think of any particular character, but I get really sick of

I think it's ok to prefer someone on the top or bottom, but it's not cool to assign people their roles in bed based on their personalities. There are dominant type bottoms and passive tops too.

I can understand that you'd have a strong preference for certain dynamics in a couple, but stopping to read altogether is a pretty strong reaction. Especially if it's like one scene.


For the record, even pretty dominant/aggressive people can enjoy being penetrated, it's just that usually the dynamic is a bit different then -and I find it's rarely written right.

Is there more to this comic that's, like, hidden away somewhere and that I am therefore missing? I checked it out a few days ago due to a secret and the reaction to it (thought process: "controversial porn? SWEET!"), and...there are only three very short chapters, the last of which seems like it hasn't been finished. There's been very little character development, and the main plot hasn't really started yet; all that's been written is set-up. But the way people talk about it makes it seem like there's a lot more.

(And yes, the dynamic between Cain and Abel would be terrible IRL; and the story is incredibly hokey; and the fighter/navigator thing just exists for the purpose of fostering sex. But I mean...it's a kink and it's porn. Why are there people who are expecting it to be PC and well-plotted?)
