Yeah, it's too logic!fail even for a trolly secret. It should be something like "If you're writing a canon where there are more women than men, but you choose to write just about the men, then I judge you." It would also help to name a specific fandom, since it's hard to believe anyone is just trolling through random fanfics toting up the numbers of male and female characters.

Also, Age of Sail, PoTC, military shows, hockey fandom, etc. etc.
