However, as someone who has had an eating disorder, I find it fucking rude to compare thin dolls to a mental illness. Sorry if that rustles your jimmies and all, but I feel it trivializes real problems.

Stop using anorexic to mean emaciated. Anorexia may be a cause of malnourishment but it isn't the only reason a person may be extremely thin. You're implying that all thin people are sufferers of a complex disorder tied heavily to mental issues.

I don't think eating disorders is out of context with unnaturally thin dolls. There's whole body image ideals and issues that go along with kids and their toys (and adults with dolls and toys).

This pretty much shows that you have only glanced at the franchise and just assumed things based on how the dolls look.

Also, what's your problem with hookers or people who lok like hookers in your eyes? Are they any less human than people who dress according to your tastes?

First off, I never mentioned Bratz at all. These dolls are Monster High.

And my motivation was the character bios, web series and character diaries of MH, not them being really thin or having huge heads.
MH is about girly characters as people, not about girly characters being stereotypes. That spoke to me.

Btw, I think it's sad you felt the need to call the dolls "anorexic skanks". You realize that some of us are just naturally thin and some of us just so happen to love to dress over the top? That doesn't lower our worth as people.

And that is what I learned from this "anorexic skank" doll line.
That I can overcome my fear of getting judged by my looks, that I can dress really girly when I want to and still be myself, not what other people might think of me.

People like you are the problem why many girls feel horrible about themselves, not dolls like Monster High.
