Who hates Sweets? How could anyone hate Sweets?

In fairness, he did start out as a foil for Bones and Booth to make fun of. But, yeah, he's long since proved his mettle; he's intelligent, he knows his stuff, and he can be pretty bad-ass when he needs to be. Hell, he was the fucking HERO in the most recent episode (the one with the Thirstbuster bomb).

Then again, I haven't actually watched the show in a couple of years? (I feel like it's been that long, at any rate.)

In other news, last time I took dance, one of the guys in class looked like a young Dr. Sweets, which was really really weird.

I ADORE Sweets. But then I also adore Daisy, who seems to be widely hated, and I also adore them as a couple. (Yes, btw, the last episode did piss me off. A LOT.)

He has a punchable face is all I can guess.

Uh, wow. I'm actually surprised anyone likes him.

He's incompetent, bad at his job and sorta stupid. He constantly gives bad personal advice. I liked one or two of his exchanges with Booth, but that's about it.

Though maybe he got better, I gave up on Bones after season six.

I think we're watching a different show, then. Because he's actually fairly competent and pretty damn good at his job. He does give bad personal advice, though.

If he can get BRENNAN, of all people, convinced of his skills in a field she deems to be hocus pocus, then he's done something right at his job.

I quite like Sweets but have given up on the show. Once they took staunchly child free Brennan and gave her babies rabies I was out of there. What they did to Zac was bad enough but to throw in the baby plot line was just too much. Ugh.

Basically my sentiments. I loved Zac - I could even have lived with them changing the character or him being a bad guy. But writing him out entirely? That sucked.

And the show just went downhill since it became Booth-and-Brennan-have-a-baby show.

Oh, man, yes, all this.

Sweets was one of the few watchable characters in a series that increasingly wrote the title character stupid to give Booth the moral of the story at the end of the episode. I probably could deal with the baby if it didn't involve repeatedly using Brennan as the straw atheist, straw scientist, and straw feminist.

Is he? I like the show (though less since Bones spawned) and I always thought Sweets was quite entertaining. I'm not involved in online fandom for Bones, though.

Why would a guy be named Sweets? Yuck, it sounds kind of cutesy and vaguely sexual at the same time. He's fugly, too.

I LOVE SWEETS.

I stopped watching Bones when she got pregnant and haven't been in the fandom for years. Is this hate new?

He was probably the worst character on The Finder, and he was so into hassling Walter about his investigations.

... Bones? What's Bones?

(I miss The Finder, that was a really fun show)

but that's no reason to dislike him, just to back away slowly

I never understood the Sweets hate either, and the in show Sweets mocking got old quickly if you ask me.
