I'm a gay woman and I fucking hate it when "oppressed" groups make generalized statements about the "majority" group. It's fucking stupid. "Ugh, I hate men!" or "ugh, white people!" or "straight people are evil" or, apparently, "die cis scum".... This is fucking absurd rhetoric and anyone who uses it deserves to be slapped.

Let's be real. Generalizing ANY group is not okay, and if we don't want people to generalize us, then maybe we should work on not doing it, too. It's embarrassing, extremist, and guess what? it doesn't help anything, it does nothing at best and even makes it worse.

Any person who votes for a party who is against basic human rights for a group of people NOT LIKE THEM because they're promising a better economy (after destroying it for eight years) is enabling bigotry. Therefore, you are a bigot.

I recently came across a profile for a nerdy bi chick in an open relationship with her equally nerdy boyfriend, who is also on the site. They run a beginner-friendly D+D group, which really interests me, cause I need some good real world nerdy pursuits.

So tomorrow I am meeting up with both of them to build a character.

She has clearly stated on her profile that she is up for casual sex with women, and we seemed to hit it off while chatting, so crossed fingers.

Thanks so much for the extensive healthy food list. Once I get my appetite back, I will definitely look into procuring some of these things.

As for the sleep thing-- my body has been conking itself out for periods up to 10 hrs at a time in order to recover from the bugs, so no worries there.

I do try to walk a mile everyday, two if I have the time, since my campus is pretty big. Unfortunately, even that small amount generally gets me exhausted and my muscles twitching from exertion.

I'm thinking about seeing a doctor within the week. I'm going home for vacation pretty soon, so I don't want to truck anything home that would hit my family.

No, no, you're not constantly being told you're "not a good person" because you're a straight cis person -- it's because you act like an asshole. An asshole who's jealous of the sort of supportive community other people find online. People who have a LOT of trouble getting anything like that much support out there in the physical world.

Don't get the kind of appreciation you want from the world at large? Perhaps this is a sign that (1) your life isn't hard and (2) you're acting like an asshole. Which might lead you to conclude that you should (3) get a fucking hobby or something and stop whining.

adding to the people wondering if crazy SJWs are actually personally attacking you and saying you're a terrible person for being cis/het, or if you've just been perceiving it that way for any reason. because if they HAVE been attacking you, or if you're following a bunch of toxic communities/people, you should get the hell outta there. i used to follow so many blogs and stuff that were like that and i had to just sit down one day and clean up; if you listen to that sort of thing long enough then it really gets to you, and i just did not need that when i'm already dealing with anxiety and depression.

and as a lesbian who fancies herself a bit of an activist, it gets fucking maddening the way i cannot even use legit words and terms now like "privilege" or "heteronormative" or whatever because the SJWs have ruined them so bad that they've practically become a meme. i could say "white people have white privilege" and get called an extremist over it. and not only is this terrible because of the way it stifles conversation and limits the vocabulary we can use to describe such complicated problems and phenomena, it's terrible because it gives oppressors--or just sorta naive folks who've been around the wrong parts of the internet--more tools to use against us and more excuses to not hear our voices.

SJWs are truly becoming a problem, and i'm not really sure what the answer is.

That's actually part of the whole point of communist states, which have never achieved true communism.

Marx proposed a 3-stage system. The first part is revolution -- overthrowing the old imperialist masters. The second part is a socialist state, where everything is distributed fairly and everyone owns everything, and it's all overseen by a ruling council representing the proletariat. Finally as society and technology advanced, the rulers would step down and the result is communism, a classless, stateless society.

As you might imagine, most 'communist' states had trouble with the whole 'stepping down' part.
