Fandom helped me along in my anorexia nervosa too =/ I had a lot of reasons to stop eating, but all of these skinny, beautiful girls definitely gave me a push. You ever want to talk about it (god knows I can't talk about it with anyone else =/) hit me up, journal, aim, anywhere you want.

I hope things get better, but if they don't, well-

I hope your stomach doesn't hurt half as much as mine does all day >_o;

You are aware that you have to eat, right? Otherwise your body eats away at itself and you just gain more weight. If you purge by vomiting, you're putting your teeth up for decay because the acids wearing away the layers and the malnutrition will make your nails brittle, your lips chapped and along with easy bruising, your hair will thin?

Personally I know many who suffer from it; having studied the disorder for several reports and reasons, I really suggest you seek help on it because it will not benefit you at all in the end. Your metabolism is going to continue to slow down and eventually the rest of your body will as well. If you want a way of weight loss, it's better to go with a healthy way of doing so. Quite ironically, if you wish to increase your metabolism to burn fat, you should eat several small meals through-out the day to get your body used to digesting. Exercise in addition is the only way to get rid of it without harming yourself. (There's no 'easy' way.)

Also, if you do try the latter of the options, you will gain weight before you lose it. (Your muscles need to bulk up a bit in shape as they're used, then the layers of fat will start to decrease. Please, just consider the fact that you don't need to have your insides die and your bones show through your skin to be 'beautiful'.

14. I completely understand. In regular life I'm above-average in health, and yet nothing makes me feel like a fatty quite like anime. Really, no one wants to see my manly muscled legs in a bikini or a leotard. You just have to keep in mind that it's easier to draw character unrealistically skinny than realistically built, and it's easier to attract a horny fanbase. It's not real.

19. You've just broken my heart into pieces. I feel exactly the same way when I think that most characters are fourteen, fifteen, sixteen when they get their big adventure. I'm seventeen and haven't got mine yet, and probably never will.

14. I can sorta see how that came about for you? But you have to realize, anime/manga art is a distortion of reality. They're not real, many times aren't even realistically drawn, and those 'attractive' figures would spell death for many women.

9: I met someone who brought LARPing back into my life that I stopped when I was 13. I'm 21 now and been LARPing everyday for a few years now. I regret nothing and it's so much fun... even better when you get other friends into it too. SO. MUCH. FUN.

Trust me, you're not pathetic, or if you are so am I and at least four or five of my friends irl.
