2. I started reading Death Note randomly when it was still small and got dragged so deeply into the Light/L battle it was crazy and then L died and... meh. I don't want to be one of "those fans", but I liked the intelligence battle and I didn't get into the second half so much. Just a personal thing. Maybe I'll give the second half a shot one day, but it felt so different to what had drawn me in the first place =/

7. Fuuma is a great character. I wish people look more deeply at characters ._.;;;

Re 2: EXACTLY! It wasn't just because "kawaiitoeschan" died or whatever that person a few pages ago called him...it was because the tension was lost. It should have ended with one or both of them dying, not continuing on with Mello and Near taking L's place. I read the wiki, so I'm aware of what happens in the second half, and I've watched and read the last 3 or so eps/chapters because it was EPIC LULZ but Death Note is a joke to me now.

2. When I started reading DN the only thing I wanted to know was if L or Light would win. When L died, the mystery was solved. I did read the rest, but it wasn't fun anymore.

So to anyone who's 'elite' about it, some people stopped reading for different reasons other than OMG BISHIE DIED

RE 9: I never really felt myself a 'real' RPer, and I still don't. But through friends, I started bringing my story characters out into conversations and so on.

Now we LARP our original characters every day. I was nervous at first, and I still am, because I worry about not being quite so good or quick as they are. Even so, I never want to give it up, because it is wonderful, escapism fun and it helps you understand characters better.

So, in a tl;dr way, I'm saying you're far from pathetic.

Yeah, it is pretty nerve-wracking at first, because of the whole "alkjds I have to come up with responses on the spot and I can't rewrite them if they don't sound right" thing. But it is fun! And I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way.

2. This happened to me with a t.v show I used to watch, they got rid of my favorite character, as soon as I heard about what was going to happen I stopped watching. If there is an aspect of a show/manga/anime/anything that is what captures your interest the most, what are you to do if it's not there anymore?, watch something you don't care for just to be able to be called a true blue fan?.

16. I liked them a lot since I read OoTP, they're too cute, Luna is awesome. Write it, there are more people who love this pairing, it's unexpected and so cool.

Re 2: Yeah, exactly!! I used to read FMA, and then it got licensed like 1 volume in. I thought the story was AWESOMMME, so when the anime came out I was all over it. And then my favorite character died (my favs always do). I never downloaded another episode. I catch it on Cartoon Network sometimes, but it's always a half-lidded sort of watching. The Greed eps are on right now. I had never watched that far but I immediately fell in love with him. But I know what happens to him and it makes me want to stop watching all over again.

I hated it after he died, but I don't like L. In fact, I almost hated L. He was one of my least favorite characters. (Mello/Near are at the very bottom for me.)

I just thought the series grew all cold and impersonal and wasn't as interesting. :/

3. Seriously, it's not going to be fun like that. I can't say I hated it because I actually did find some severe amusement out of it, but you'll find it'll mostly be sitting behind a desk and doing paperwork and running to the court house and dealing with pissed off clients because the attorney hasn't bothered making any contact with them in months even though you have, but they will adamantly scream at you over the phone about how they don't want to talk to a paralegal, they didn't pay to hire a paralegal or ... I know you're just a paralegal, but ...

2. Feckin' YES. After L died DN just seemed loose its personality. It turned, well, cold and ampty, and it wasn't as much fun to read anymore.

13. Annoying? DDDD: Satoko is ADORABLE freaking ADORABLE. I felt the same way in Tatarigoroshi-hen. I just wanted to have her be happy. Plus her admiration for her brother in Maekashi-hen when Shion was stabbin' her.

1. Uh, how can you really like them if you've never read the part of the manga they're in?

2. Yeah, well. It's understandable to have favorites and all, but if your love for a series dies along with a single character, I'm inclined to think you were only a fan of that particular character, not of the series as a whole. There's nothing wrong with that -- different strokes for different folks and all -- but I can understand why some people would find that hard to respect. If they actually give you grief for it though, they're just being asshats. No one's in a position to judge others for how they enjoy a series.

pfffffffffffffft since when do you need to have read the manga to be a fan of a pairing? It doesn't even exist in the manga. Fandom (both lj fandom and japanese doujinshi) makes them so much more appealing than they really are.
