#14, you just reminded me of a friend I had in the latter part of 2nd grade. I had moved in the middle of the year. I was a weird kid and not too many other kids seemed to like me, and they definitely wouldn't play with me. I found a kid who I'd pretend to fight with pretend machetes and all kinds of stuff. The next year he wasn't at the school (it was a school for military kids overseas, so it wasn't too surprising). But, still, I remember at the beginning of the year I asked everybody if they knew or had heard about him. I still remember his name to this day.

Please don't blame yourself for it. You couldn't have known he would go crazy over something like that. You couldn't have known he truly did think he was Shadow. Many people who are adults are still convinced they are [insert character], but they continue to live in society just fine. By no means is any of it your fault. You befriended him, and played with him, like many kids would. I'm sure those years that you knew him were some of the best for him. At least you made part of his life worth living. Please remember that.

13. Is that what that show is? I managed to catch a little bit of it one Saturday morning before work and was just...kind of confused really. Not that it wasn't bad, but I just didn't know what it was. Me and my mother were both like, "...what is this?"

Please believe me when I say you did nothing wrong. They really were just games, ones I myself played when I was young. Some people however are just messed up and your friend was one of those people.

Trust me, I know how it is. When I was a kid, I had a friend who moved away when we were in our early teens (tweens or whatever the hell it's called), a couple of years later I heard he was worshiping the devil and couldn't be left alone with any small animal because he'd try to kill it for it's blood (I can't remember if he actually killed any animal but I know he got caught trying to kill his dog). I didn't hear from him again until we were adults when he called me out of the blue a few years ago. He seemed fine, I had heard he got help a long time ago... and then earlier this year he burned down someone's house, started other fires to homes and is currently locked up in a mental hospital.

I've wondered different times if there could have been something I could have done to help; he was my friend after-all and his problems didn't start until after he moved away. But then I realized people often think "could I have..." when something unexpectedly happens to someone they care about. I know in HS when a classmate committed suicide, we (friends and teachers) were blaming ourselves for not seeing any signs (there was none). There was no way you could have known that would happen to your friend, it's normal for kids to play those types of games. Because of you, your friend had a lot of good times before he snapped. Without you being there for him it probably would have happened a lot sooner.

If you want to blame someone, blame his parents. It was their responsibility to teach him right from the beginning where fantasy ended and reality began.

14. You're secret was so sad, so touching. But, even though it is a heavy situation, you are not alone. Not in the exact same sense, however, my youth was spend very much the same way. I was in the position of your friend, and all I wanted to do was "play games." I am still playing them now, but now we call it Role Play and I have people who understand me. I was very lucky to find those people, because until then I thought there was something Seriously wrong with me.

I know it's not the same, but... I hope you can feel that it's not your fualt. You can not be guilty of something you had no intention of doing. You never ment to hurt your friend, they just... were different. Too far gone, it's not your fualt. All kids play games.

I think you were brave to stick up for him all that time.

Forgive me though, I don't know what 'TL;DR' means. T_T

5. I know the thrill can be a lot of fun, believe me, but please please please -- consider the safety of other people when you drive. Please. My best friend's mother is a quadriplegic because a teenager ran a red light and slammed into her car -- speeding, at night, because he was changing the radio station and didn't see the light change. Sorry, humorless and harsh I know, but . . . ugh, this just really hits home for me. Please be safe, for your own sake as well as everyone else's.

2. I've never been a fan of Margaret/Hawkeye, either. This could be because I've never really liked Margaret, but also, I just... don't get it. I think it's because she's basically the only woman on the show. But, really: MEH.

I used to RP there as well, but a report happy got me banned for something I never did and I haven't been on in a long time, mostly for the sake of my almost 4 year old account. (I don't want it gone! DDDX) (Also, I left because people classes me as semi-lit because of how I typed in OOC. Bitches. The lot of them. *punts nasty board into cyberspace*)

I don't lose respect for shippers, although I'll agree Zutara has some zany supporters. It's great you refrain from serious shipping to enjoy the show because the show isn't all about teh pretteh couples that should get together and whatnot. Support you couples, fine, but it shouldn't overrun your enjoyment of the show.
