Slightly boring but - I have hair pretty similar to Merida's, and if I wanted to get my hair up in something like that, I'd braid it first - it's surprising how compacted you can make hair in a braid - and pin it in place. So it is possible, it just wouldn't be very comfortable.

I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't enjoy winter break. Yes, it's great to not have classes, and to have proper food instead of the weak imitation found in the dining hall, and access to the TV and video games that won't fit in my dorm room, but I hate being with my family all the time. Isn't five minutes enough? Can I please go home now?

tl;dr: it's basically about how people being assholes in the internet and in fandom is silly and is definitely not badass, edgy nor cool at all, and refusing to take accountability for your behavior online is immature and only what is "expected" because we have allowed it to be so

Might be a bit of both. Of course if you follow Lee Pace fans they'll probably post more of him in his various roles, but Thranduil himself might have fangirls too, idk.

Oh, I haven't done that! Thanks for the (inadvertent) suggestion! (And I agree. I made a tumblr just for Hobbit stuff, but I'm seeing a lot of great graphics and art from other fandoms as well.)

Anyone considered the possibility that OP is comfortable with her situation? I feel kind of weird reading all these comments saying OP needs to see someone to fix this. The tone of the secret doesn't strike me as "I hate myself and I want to die" so much as "I'm not interested in imagining myself in sexual situations"... which is usually a position that gets a lot of support around here.

Whenever I see anyone posting "first", I always want to say "fucking gay", as per "We Didn't Start the Flame War". It's pretty annoying because I can't actually go around saying that every time I see it.

Not that I draw much, but when I did it was mainly memory and practice. Breaking it down, your eye starts to be able to tell if, say, the line you've just drawn 'works' in terms of the picture you're trying to draw (which you have a rough mental image of in your head for reference) - and if it doesn't, you erase it and try again. At least, that's how it was for me.

Can't recommend any how tos atm (I think the best way to learn is just by drawing what you see around you anyway) - but you should totally go for it! And Happy New Year to you to :)

Unless you have an eidetic, draw that thing you want to draw with it as an actual reference a billion times. The more you draw it, the more you become familiar with it really.
