PERSONA 3 ROCKS. <333

I'm a big Final Fantasy fan, but Megaten is right up there too because they're just so...awesome. The games seriously don't get the love they deserve. I've come to love Shin Megami Tensei games so much that I buy them just because of that name--I know the game will more than likely kick ass. And, the soundtracks are usually wonderful as well.

And, your friends aren't really your friends if they hate you for liking something different from them.

God do the game and soundtrack kick ass.

The game cost me fifty bucks, but it's a lot more worth it than most games; it comes in a collectors box, includes an art book, and even a CD of the soundtrack for the game. The guide was small, and cost twenty bucks, but I would've ttly bought if the place I got my game at hadn't already sold out. It's my first encounter with the series, and I'm only about six hours into the game, but I already love it to death.

Sorry for the random comment, but you are the first person I've found that likes the series since I bought the game >>;

I don't think it's so much that they're upset people like their culture, I think it's more they're upset that they idolize their culture so much they actually wish they were Asian, as if that would automatically solve all their problems and make them happier with themselves. And think everyone/thing American sucks. Um, no.

I don't care if they hate my fandom but I do care if every time I mention it even if its not to them they instantly say 'I hate it' and tell me again how much they hate it. If I post something related to the fandom they invade and post 'that fandom sucks' ... it gets fucking tiresome.

1 - I can't say anything about its manga because I haven't read any of it, but I did drop its anime version because it just got to repatitive (sp?) and dull for me. So in a way you're not alone. XD;

6 - I hate that show too but Brenda Song is totally hot.

7 - I can sympathize with you, except I'm that way with anything I make on CS3. D: Anyways, why not post some links here to fanfics you've written to put them to your test?

8 - Tell that person to STFU and get over the fact other people like series s/he does not. For example, I believe Death Note to be an incredible series, but I don't use it as an excuse to bash someone else's opinions over what show s/he likes just as much. That's just fanbratty-ness right there.

21. I'm 22 in a few weeks and ever since I picked up and liked the the first game when it first came out I've been deemed a little kid by everyone who knew. Guess what? Well, they may indeed like the character. But if you can't figure out what to do with it, give someone else a chance. Just cause you like the character doesn't mean you have the right to decide who can play them and what they can do. Rps are for fun, not so you can sit on a character that someone may have actually LIKED to see played and hell, might have some of their own ideas as to how to use said character. It's just kind of rude.

24 I'm the same. It's weird, and I feel dirty about it, but inflation art gets me off so much faster than anything else. I can't admit it to anyone, because it's just one of those weird fetishes that are never cool. Foot fetish? Acceptable. S&M? Kinky, and even a little hot to some people. Inflation? 1. I'm not really into fashion or bands or anything, but Nana is pretty much my favorite comic/manga thing. I love it mostly for the realistic characters and how they relate to each other. Their interactions don't feel sugarcoated or "fluffy" but at the same time are never meaningless. I can understand how it wouldn't float everyone's boat though.

Hachi is also one of my favorite female leads ever. She actually acts like a 20-year-old girl trying to live on her own for the first time would really act. I know most people can't stand her, but I adore her mistakes. Can't lie, either ... I love the tons of subtext between the two female leads. X]

14. I'm not sure if that's a fair comparison. While the stereotypes applied to Arabs are truly despicable, I can certainly see how it would be offensive to be treated like a collector's object or unfairly idealized just because you're Asian. And it does happen, especially in fandom. Too much respect for a culture is not the issue - respect is fine! But I suspect (and I don't know, because I'm not Asian, reaching out on a limb here) it's kind of like the same feeling as when a man credits me for being caring and sensitive simply because I'm a woman. Caring and sensitive are not bad traits, but you marginalized when someone generalizes like that or defines you by how you born (which you had no part or choice in) rather than by the person you've worked to be.
