Okay, this is a response to that secret from a while ago about someone who ships/wants to ship that pairing but can't because they think Gimli is too ugly, right?

Not really? I don't even remember that secret. I really do just find movie!Legolas pretty unattractive. I don't like Orlando Bloom's face, I guess? Gimli's fine though (not exactly my type, but fine).

(Now, I am aware that most people would find Legolas to be the more attractive of the two. But I'm not really trying to troll here.)

Also, his eyebrows don't match his hair. For some reason I find that fact really distracting.

I know that this is a ridiculous hang-up, but there it is. :/

When a character has extremely light hair, makeup and hair often decide the dark eyebrows look "better," because then the character can emote better than if they had eyebrows that match the haircolor. I know this is 100% what they said about Lucius Malfoy.

Also, a lot of people with light hair do have naturally dark eyebrows. It's not exactly an unnatural look or something.

Well, yeah, but not typically quite the difference between Legolas and Orlando Bloom! :P

One of my friends has Legolas-colored hair and she has eyebrows to match. Back in high school, she used to use mascara to make them darker. They are REALLY light. I absolutely understand why a production would use much darker eyebrows, though.

because then the character can emote better

especially the actor doesn't know how to act except with his eyebrows.
