(Anonymous) 2013-02-22 12:21 am (UTC)(link)No - I would believe that the curse would prevent people from noticing. Henry would notice in time, sure, that some things were different, but, everybody seems to forget that he DOESN'T KNOW ANYTHING ELSE. He has nothing to compare - how can he come to the conclusion that 'his world' (Storybrooke) is wrong/different? He is ten! He lives there for his whole life. I repeat he is ten! It riddicules to say he'd notice that kind of things at that age.
Of course she is not the perfect parent. Not the best choice. But really who in that town is? Who has not murdered (whatever reason for)? AT least she tries and he's not suffered anything. He's a spolied kid. Regina behaved wrong as she wanted to keep him close - that's true but before he knew? He had no reason to complain.
And not every kid suffers bc the parents don't tell them everything. I guess there are a lot of parents who don't especially not at that age..

(Anonymous) 2013-02-22 12:34 am (UTC)(link)I think even if no one else noticed the Age issue, eventually there would have to come a time when Henry would really start to question/go insane over not knowing why he wasn't staying the same like everyone else. And why Bring a child into that sort of life, where he would eventually come to that is mind-boggling. I truly hope they explain why he is there at some point, because to me, it seems a little happy-coincidence at this point.

(Anonymous) 2013-02-22 03:47 am (UTC)(link)"New" Regina didn't change that much from old. Or did you forget the part where she killed Graham by oh yeah crushing his heart in her hand.
Then she turned around and used his death to manipulate other people.

(Anonymous) 2013-02-22 11:29 pm (UTC)(link)He also seems rather isolated. Most of the people he seems to know are adults. When I was ten I absolutely did not notice that adults looked older than they did when I was seven or six, or five. Not to mention no one seems to have a good concept of time in the beginning except for Regina and Mr. Gold for obvious reasons, so no one around him was questioning the lack of change. The real questions are how school was handled and why other people didn't notice Henry changing. Did Henry go up in grades while the other kids stayed the same? I'm sure Regina made sure he actually got SOME schooling. How did she keep the teachers from noticing that only Henry was advancing?

Move what she did into the real world. She tried to convince a little child that he was insane. Can you even begin to guess how damaging something like that is? Being forced to believe you're mad even if what you are doing is totally sane and rational?
I'm not sure if anyone has brought up the word to you before, but this is exactly the definition of gaslighting. Trying to confuse someone and make them doubt themselves so much they have no choice but to submit to your greater will.
