24. I haven't really watched the rest of his "serious" films, but I will say that Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is the single best thing he has ever done in his career by about fifty miles.

In Living Color has to settle for a distant second place.

Truman Show was my favorite movie when it came out, and I loved Liar Liar for the serious parts. Bruce Almighty actually made me cry - but yes, I think 'Eternal Sunshine' beats all.

I think it's my favorite movie, ever.

20 - I kind of wished she had become one too, but even though I dislike her bitchiness in GS4, I think she's actually technically better at being a detective (when she gives a shit) than she was a scientific investigator. But I really like to think she would have gotten the hang of it eventually and been a wonderful one...she was just so passionate...

24) I am totally with you on this one. Even though 'The Number 23' wasn't the best movie ever, seeing him play "evil" was just AMAZING. And of course, 'Eternal Sunshine...' = so much love.

My sentiments exactly! I think Eternal Sunshine is my favorite of his movies, by far- but it certainly wasn't the first, I love his serious roles. And The Number 23 is painful for me, because people ask if it was any good and it's like a trick question. Yes, I loved it - it was interesting, if nothing else.... but no, I wouldn't suggest it to just anyone.

I liked Ace Ventura when it first came out, but I never liked the second one - and I've always secretly loved The Truman Show and Liar Liar ten times more.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I adore all those pairings too~ Even Peony/Dist. (Hell, I even love Dist/Nephry.) XD I think all of the various pairings within that group are completely different in how they'd work and what the interaction would be like, and that's really what makes me ship them every which way. XD

1. While I'd personally think it's a good idea to have some exposure to a series first, I don't entirely disagree with you. And word on "since when did fandom have a hierarchy". I'm sick of the whole "True Fans > Casual Fans > Newbs" bullcrap the elitists, it's glorified kindergarten sandbox logic.

RE: 9, Air Gear is pervy, but it's of the "I'm gonna be the best at *whatever* despite all obstacles! LET'S HAVE A FIGHT SCENE :D" genre more than harem. (Thinking about it, the MC has three love interests as of chapter 130-ish, which is pretty decent.)

Also, if you're a slasher? FODDER LEIK WOAH, with two canonly gay characters and tons of subtext. (The gay characters are guys, too, not girls like most shounen series would fall back on. :D )
