Re: Who else is having a bad day?
At almost the last minute the person who was meant to be interviewing me was switched out (they're the senior manager for the department I went for a management position in) because of 'conflict of interest'.
He'd told my friend (does the same role I went for - and the senior manager isn't aware we're mates) I was his go to candidate before the interview, and I just found out from my friend he was talking about how disappointed he was by this, but that the person interviewing me had done a bullshit eval and chosen someone else against his wishes.
Oh and they're fucking me over with leave on tuesday I need to attend an assessment day for project management.
All of which is basically irrelevant since I'm merely waiting on a contract for almost my ideal job, the references have been sent and I won't fail the drug test, five weeks and I'm gone.
But it's still made be considerably more angry then I would've thought about how badly this company has fucked me over. I think next week is going to involve some pointed feedback to a few people and perhaps an ultimatum.

It's just, in my volunteer job (which is what I'm waiting on the full time contract for) I had a signed letter promising attachment to a specialist unit before I was out of training - as soon as I met the non-negotiable requirements for time served and operational skills demonstrated, the best posting when I was out of training, and leading a team at six months.
Whereas my full time job left me in a shitty position for twenty months, and gave me a petty promotion in which they effectively straight up lied about what I'd be doing. And the candidates here aren't even a shadow of the quality of those I out shined in my volunteer job.
