I liked Jackson, since he was supposed to be an ass. It's the other characters that I can't stand, because they can be just as big jerkwads and we are still expected to think that they are likable and root for them.

Oh well, I had already decided to skip the next season. I can watch Colton in Arrow now.

While I get why people hate Jackson, I really liked him. I could empathize and relate to his character in a lot of ways, and his melodramatic behaviour was really entertaining for me.

Colton Haynes, however, is an unapologetic asshole, so I'm torn. Plus the reasons I've heard for why he left (Jackson was supposed to be in 12 of 24 eps of S3, he wanted more screentime or pay or something like that) seemed kind of odd to me.

I actually liked Jackson. Nevermind that he's ridiculously hot, but he's SUPPOSED to be a jerk (and honestly, he pulled it off well!). Also, I have a bit of respect for people who KNOW they're jerks, own it, and don't try to act like they're not.

Like Scott. Scott is a major asshole but he tries to justify it by acting all righteous/moral/~in wuv~/etc. THAT I can't stand.

Anyway! What I really wanted to see was some actual character growth on Jackson's part. Badly. Guess that's not going to happen now, though.

How is Scott is an asshole? The only moment I can think of is when he said Lydia didn't deserve his help because she didn't put up with Stiles' Nice Guy crap.

I don't know if I'd call Scott an asshole. He definitely tries to justify everything he does with the righteous/moral/etc, you're right on that end. But I think mostly he's just a stupid 16yo boy who is still only thinking about himself like most kids that age. Like with the whole issue with the other betas. He automatically assumes Derek is an ass and forcing them because he doesn't like being a werewolf. He doesn't stop to think that maybe Isaac, Erica, and Boyd all wanted this even with full disclosure.

I do have some major issues with what went down in the season 2 finale, and I think Derek should drop him and let Scott be the omega he wants to be.

Oh please, Scott is not an asshole. His plan was a good one and if it had been, say, Stiles' plan I bet there wouldn't be nearly as much complaining.

I agree with the Jackson bit, but the Scott bit makes me think we're watching completely different shows. That, or you're confusing Scott for Derek who is all of that minus the ~in wuv~.

I liked Jackson for all the reasons others have posted here. I don't care about the actor one way or the other beyond the gfact that I thought he did a good job with the part.

Apparently in the minority here, but I agree with you, OP. He was an unapologetic jerk who showed no growth whatsoever, yet we were still expected to root for him. Teen Wolf's character development is pretty weak in general though.

I will not miss Jackson's character at all.

I will give him a pass for his jerkiness in the second season because we don't know how much of that was actually him. But still. Not mourning his loss. Erica on the other hand...

I totally get why you don't like him, OP - I have no logical reason to like him. I think I've just absorbed Fanon!Jackson or I just have a thing for assholes with ISSUES. But yeah, my main reaction is just to sob incoherently in his direction. I love him. :-/

And honestly, I love Colton too, even though I feel a bit guilty about it. He seems like a pretty genuine person, and I love his bromance with Posey. I'm also holding out for the hope that he's gay. I realize he's done some stupid racist shit with the blackface/brownface, but I feel like it comes from a place of just not thinking it's a big deal. Which is bad, but sometimes things like this CAN be made into a bigger deal than they actually merit.
