I don't like this pairing because it is incest, and incest squicks me. For some reason, I'm even more bothered by the people who are like, "LOL, it's not incest 'cause Loki's adopted!" than I am by people who just tag the fic as incest.

I know what you mean. I personally find incest distasteful, but at least some people acknowledge that their fetish is in the minority and have the decency to admit that it is, in fact, incest. I mean, regardless of whether they think incest is acceptable, they don't gloss it over to be something entirely different.

The people who think that the fact that they're adopted siblings somehow makes it not incest (or "quasi-incest"; WTF?) either don't understand what a sibling is or don't understand what incest is.

In either case, they're abysmally stupid.

No, I think it's that the negation of adoptive relationships as legitimate family relationships bothers me, thanks to a friend who pointed out all of the adoption FAIL in the Thor movie.
