Well, Regina and Graham's relationship is at least problematic. What with taking his heart out and controlling his behavior and all. I'm still pretty sure the creators weren't going for rape and it was only a (bad) consequence of a badly written show, something they hadn't thought it could come up but that of course was called out by watchers cos everybody who had EYES could see it was problematic. But denying said problem even exists? You're either biased or blind.

She was enjoying consensual sex with the Graham personality, but dub-con sex with the Hunter personality. However the Hunter personality was absent from the Graham personality. Two personalities, one body, lots of awkward.

However she did murder them both. At the same time. Since they both shared the same body. Without knowing of each other.

It's... very sketchy. While she is NOT mind-controlling Graham at all times (the show has made it quite clear that she is only controlling people's actions when she's speaking directly to their heart), she was still abusing her power position as both Queen and mayor. So while "Graham" may have thought he was consenting, she's keeping a hell of a large piece of information from him that would very, very likely alter the decisions he made regarding her.

Obviously, the writers didn't intend for it to be seen that way, but it was problematic at best. She took his heart to control him then ordered him to be taken to her chambers. He was clearly not consenting at that time.

Wow, what? Yeah, no. And to anyone debating over the "controlling his heart" thing, that is irrelevant. It's made clear that she controls how Storybrooke operates. She has power over the roles everyone plays. She made Storybrooke. Even if she isn't controlling his heart in that specific part of his life, she is still the one who decided that he would be her lover in the new world.

Thought experiment - if Rumpelstiltskin had ended his screaming fit at Belle by taking control of her heart and free will, then ordered her to his bedchamber, would there be any way to not see that as imminent rape?
