1 - Science is sexay. ;D

13 - The elitist thing in that fandom is sad but sadly true, and I really am sorry it's holding you back from jumping right in.
The wank can be downright scary, though -- I mean, honestly, what does it matter whether Sasuke tops Naruto or vice versa? (They switch. Duh. :P)

20 - It's so wonderful having an RP partner like that, isn't it? :D

21 - I'd take Aeris's boobs over Tifa's any day of the week. :P
Really, I totally know what you mean; it's frustrating that there are so many big-breasted characters, and not just because the well-endowed ones get all the attention (for some ungodly reason; nice, handful-sized breasts are SO much better than boobs so huge they look more painful than attractive). It's unrealistic and stinks too much of fanservice (and this last probably shouldn't surprise me, but a girl can bitch, can't she?).

26. Mmmmhmmm. ♥

28 - I wish there were a little more variety as well, but... come on, there are a lot of anime fans out there, and they're the ones who're submitting stuff. You want more non-anime secrets, get your friends in your non-anime fandoms to come here and submit.

8. Venture Brothers

[identity profile] ex-peacebone459.livejournal.com 2007-09-12 09:52 pm (UTC)(link)
3. HARLEY QUINN, FTW. ♥ I collect her series like a madman.

28.It's up to non-anime fans whether or not they want to post secrets. So instead of criticizing the anime fans, why don't you band together a bunch of "non-anime" fans and post your own goddamn secrets?

[identity profile] vitalregions.livejournal.com 2007-09-12 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
6. Poor Rinnosuke. =(

26. So with you.

[identity profile] otoselkie.livejournal.com 2007-09-12 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
I thought the movie was extremely disappointing after being a manga fan for years... And, yes, those books are still Miyazaki's most stunning work, even more than Mononoke. (What's more, film!Kushana wasn't even the same woman, and she was my favorite character).

#3 and #28

[identity profile] linen-tartaruga.livejournal.com 2007-09-12 10:01 pm (UTC)(link)
3. Uh, okay. Ignoring the fact the Batvillains aren't the only female villains out there that have spines, are you sure we're talking about the same Harley? Because, y'know, as I remember it, she was a very intelligent criminal psychologist at Arkham that was one of the few people willing to actually work with the Joker when he was in there. All the other doctors were scared to death by him, and rightfully so. I mean, yeah, she can get scared by her Puddin' once in a while, 'cause he's pretty damn scary, but in the end she doesn't put up with most of his bullshit trying to treat her like all of his other Disposal Henchmen.

She's probably just about the only character in DC-verse that can stand up to the Joker and he's even been scared of her on occasion. So . . . can we try watching/reading the series while we're ogling? I swear it's not that hard, I do it all the time.

28. You're gonna be getting a lot of these today, though I'm going to assume you knew that, but here goes anyway: LOLZ DUN CAER 8D

Seriously, I was willing to give you my sympathy 'til that last line. I don't think I even know any anime fans that think that anime's the "greatest fucking thing on the planet." Though I know plenty that think it's "fucking great." But, y'know what? Not everyone thinks that it isn't the "greatest fucking thing on the planet," just like not everyone thinks whatever fandom you're into is the "greatest fucking thing on the planet." You don't watch anime 'cause you don't like it, right? So don't read the secrets you don't understand. That's what I do! It's a revolutionary concept, I know.

[identity profile] virgo288.livejournal.com 2007-09-12 10:01 pm (UTC)(link)
18. LOL sounds JUST LIKE someone I know.

(Anonymous) 2007-09-12 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
27. I personally think they suck.

[identity profile] indulge.livejournal.com 2007-09-12 10:49 pm (UTC)(link)
That's okay, we love you, too. >:

2) Um... it's reposted because it's funny. It was MADE because it was funny -- if you're the one who made it, you should know that.
4) Hey, but random theories are fun!
9) You're not alone.
12) Write genfic and pair them up in it. You get your originality and your pairing, and everyone's happy!
21) True, true. Although a lot of series have the DFC thing going on.
24) ...did you just put Haruhi on that secret so people would read it? (And I'm the exact same size, and I like myself. I don't think I'm fat at all, either.)
26) Oh, me too.
28) Not touching this one.

op 24

(Anonymous) 2007-09-12 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
well gee golly willickers it's nice that you have a positive self image of yourself. it's also nice you like to rub that in the face of someone who doesn't. thanks! also I've never watched Haruhi but it was the first thing that came up that I liked when I did a google search for anime girls watching tv or something like that. her look said "haha I'm better than you" to me, which is admittedly how I feel when I watch those shows so I thought it fit nicely.

22. Snape was supposed to be younger, it doesn't bother me because Alan Rickman makes up for it with his hotness, but my guess would be it bothers other people. Though I've always wondered how the heck do they explain that Harry's parents are supposed to be Snape's age, but he looks so much older when he should be in his thirties.

26. This type of characters have always been such a turn on for me.

28. Make non-anime secrets, duh!.

Thanks to this secret, I will now post my Deadpool secret I've been sitting on for a while.

DO IT DO IT DO IT

I may be one of the massive herd of animedorks here, but I am totally in favor of anything that puts more Deadpool in my daily internets.

1. For me? It's all about the voice. Oh god the voice.

11. RO D: D: D: I miss RO. Sometimes. I haven't played on the real RO in like...*years*. I miss my priestess sometimes. Then I remember what it's like trying to be a walking white pot and all the cries of Y U NO HEEL and remember why I DON'T miss her. Though I totally miss my angel band. It's so pretty.

#3) I'm a female, and I'd do any of them in a heartbeat.

#4) I CAN SEE IT HAPPENING.

#5) To all those who write bad fiction: SEE? IT CAN BE DONE. To the poster of #5, good job!

#9) Oooh, share with me, plz? I find it annoying that so many of the good artists draw hentai!

#15) I read the first two or three volumes of the manga and loved them, but now I can't even find that much of the series! Any idea where I could find it so I could fangirl with you?

#18) Uh... Is that you, me? 0.0" No, it isn't, but you could be my long-lost sibling or something.

#23) Are you my long-lost sibling, too?!

#28) I wish I could say I sympathize, but that would be lying. Maybe I could introduce you to my parents-- they're actually pretty cool about movies and fiction, but they don't think much of anime.

9. Incidentally, Ever17 (the sixth picture down in your secret) isn't actually a hentai game. There's a romantic aspect, but no sex. (It's an awesome game, though, and the CGs are really, really pretty.)

Also, 15

[personal profile] xenoglossy 2007-09-12 10:21 pm (UTC)(link)
I love the Nausicaa manga -- I read it before I saw the movie, and then when I did see the movie, I was sort of disappointed. It wasn't nearly as good.

[identity profile] yummycoffee.livejournal.com 2007-09-12 10:16 pm (UTC)(link)
1. Yeah I don't know either...I think he would be sexier if he were older and didn't have a crew cut. I love the voice actors for him though. ♥

7. Yeah me either honestly. There are very few girl characters that I like, and they almost always come with some form of hot man meat on the side. An all-girl anime cast is just not interesting to me.

8. Haha I saw those the other night, was wondering why in the world they decided to show Bleach fanart. Who was it drawn by?

LOLLL 18. Fictional things are awesome to crush on until to you find someone real (actually they are still awesome even after you do).

26. Who isn't?! Seriously. T3T
ouo: (Riviera; Now for my trump card~!)

[personal profile] ouo 2007-09-12 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
2. XD
23. No matter what you like, the guys in that picture just aren't very good-looking.
29. Wait, is that supposed to be weird? I'm constantly thinking about anime characters, but only think about the boys I crush on occasionally.

[identity profile] luzerna.livejournal.com 2007-09-12 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
1, 9 & 10.

28. Um, a good lot of us here are into anime. People write secrets about the things they like. Thus, most of the secrets here will be from people into anime. Why would anyone post secrets about things they aren't interested in? Why would you want them to? Recruit some other ans of whatever is is you like here, and maybe you will see secrets from your fandom pop up. I would like seeing some more not-Asian-related secrets too (yes, we exist. Not everyone thinks anime and American stuff has to be fucking exclusive) but that isn't the best way to go about making more, you know?

P.S. The first secret in the background should be relatable because it's not about a specific series, it's a personal issue. Whoever made it just chose that picture because it was probably a fandom he wrote in, most likely--it isn't an anime secret at all (unless you actually mean "secrets by people who like anime" instead of secrets relating to anime/manga series--in which you'd be almost completely out of luck). You could probably relate to the third if you tried as well.

Totally, utterly, agreed. I really don't her the style. In [community profile] venturebrothers there's been a recent poster who makes great comic art. She should get a bump. ******_****? Hell no.

She's overrated period. I don't have cable anymore, and that makes me glad because I don't have to see it. I'm not saying she doesn't have talent but, you know that overrated artist in every fandom? Yea...

1 - I just like his English voice and attitude ♥3♥

26 - oh my yes plz

1. What [livejournal.com profile] taichou said :B

28. I would sympathize, but since you're being bitchy about it, I lost it for ya. If you don't like it, but aren't doing anything about it, then get over it. As for all anime looking the same, it can be said for American comics and TV shows. Especially, comics of the superhero variety. They're too repetitive to keep my interests in character designs and story lines. It can go both ways. I at least can find more variety in anime and manga.

26. lol same here

12. Whoa wait is that a My-HiME/Otome secret? ♥ Awesoooome. And even better that you seem to be a fan of Haruka and Yukino, too! I don't pair anyone myself, but at the very least I love both of their characters (Yukino especially) and it's super good to know I'm not the only one.

26. Me too, me too! %D I once even had a long discussion with a friend over what the proper term for a male megane character was (since females seem to get "meganekko") and eventually came up with the comical name "meganesuke". Yeah, we were bored, but hey! XD

#28: I'll join the legions here who say that you almost had a point until that last line. When will people learn that once you start saying things like that, it eradicates whatever point you might have been close to making?
