Seriously, though. It's adorable, sweet, half-canon (the bus scene? SO a breakup. :D ), and made of Hiro and win. Shipping it shouldn't be a secret. :D

15) The anime is great, but the manga is so much better. I don't like the way Kushana's character is completely simplified in the movie; I want her in the manga, with all of her complicated motivations and devious moves and that hair-cutting scene. I think the manga got translated early in the anime boom (by Viz, yikes) and then faded away because it wasn't a huge hit. The movie version of "Warriors of the Wind" didn't help either; if the anime had been released in its original form without the stupid rewrite, there might have been more fans interested in tracking down the manga. So, yeah, much agreement and Nausicaa fannishness from here. Who knows, perhaps with all the attention Miyazaki's getting, we could have a theatrical re-release and coinciding manga re-release?

13. Maybe you can just read the books/watch the show and not get into the fandom? I love Avatar, I adore it, I think it's one of my favourite shows of all time (up there with One Piece) but I don't care about the fandom much, beyond grabbing LJ icons that I like. (I don't think anyone would hold not watching the fillers against you, either). But I guess if you're looking at places to just have some fellow squee with other fans, it might be lonely.

I have to say, I never heard about any elitism, but my section of that fandom's a bit off the beaten path (I write Neji/Naruto fanfic). Maybe you can lurk around a bit to find somewhere you'd enjoy hanging out.

No one is promoting anime secrets over non-anime secrets, or prohibiting the latter from being posted. If you can find people who aren't into anime who want to make secrets, drag them over here and you'll have your non-anime secrets. It's not the fault of the anime-secret-makers that they outnumber everyone else. (Hello, convoluted comment!)

11. RAGNAROK ONLINE FAN. *LOVE* I completely agree though; the official has such a better.. ambiance. The community is so nice and there's nothing like partying to take out an MvP or doing a quest with friends. EuphRO!old used to be like that...
23. You have no idea how much I agree with this. Pretty boys are fine, but I don't get the allure of them. I like normal guy characters who does what guys do. Doesn't mean I discriminate against the pretty boys or the transgender characters (I love several of the latter in fact) but when sparkles and bubbles contaminate the panel when the pretty boy appears, I'm here yawning instead of squeeing. Give me a normal highschool kid over the prettiest boy in the school anyday.
25. Agreed. Zutara's fine as a fanon thing. There're some really nice stuff out there, I just hate it when some Zutara fans are PERSUADED that it's canon. Same with some Kataang fans. I gave up on trying to help appease Avatar wank though. 8)

27. That really makes my night. ♥ There's been so much (apparent? I haven't noticed it too much, but I know it's probably there) issue over the DN cast taking over the game and whatnot, but really, I've had the most fun at sendoff than I've ever had anywhere else, and I personally believe there's so much opportunity for everyone that wants to do something. If the DN cast (though I'm not being fair, I didn't do very much; they just drug me along for the ride~) hadn't put such an in-depth plot into action, sendoff would...well, to be blatantly honest, I'd probably have left by now. That may be different for others, but I'm just glad I've met all of the players I have since I first joined. And I'm not talking about the Death Note cast exclusively; there have been others who've rocked hardcore, too.

I don't care about the drama over plot, the drama over rules, the drama over ANYTHING, really. I'm just having a damn lot of fun.

I see it! I would not laugh at you. In fact, the moment I saw it I thought "Dude...he's an orphan. We don't know his parents. So they say he's part this and part that, but who really knows?" That sounds like a fun premise for a fanfic. You shouldn't keep that secret. It just amuses the hell out of me because it's so true. Ryuk and Light will breed little Ls :D
