You mean the last 40 years or so, right? Nevermind that you guys still fly the Confederate flag whenever you can under the guise of "heritage." Among other things. Also? Your modern culture sucks. I live a stone's throw from the Kentucky state line and I have to listen to people talk about NASCAR and Honky Tonk Badonkadonk with depressing frequency. Not to mention the sheer amount of noisy religiosity which is responsible for a lot of what's holding progress back.

Could this be a fundraiser? I've been to events (mostly in school, where there are certain people such as student politicians who people want to see do silly things) where there's a slave auction of people who volunteer for it, and you bid on a person and the highest bidder gets to make that person do whatever embarrassing/silly public thing they want for a day (within reason, of course).

maybe. But they don't call them "slave auctions" because of the whole...slave connotation. And bidding on people.

Yeah, that would be a very poor choice of title.

I am trying to think of a different name for it. A "Serf Sell Off?" "A bondservant bidding?" "A Peon Purchase?" Actually, I kind of like the last one.

No, it's bound to be a charity auction, where people are 'sold' for charity (usually for an evening out or something like that).

It must be someone's idea of a joke. Someone who knows how to hack digital signs.

I can't imagine anyone in my town being smart enough to do that. But who knows.
