What game is this? And is it any good?

Psst, it actually says what game it is in the secret -- Heavy Rain. Can't tell you whether or not it's good though, as it was a PS3 exclusive.

It's worth a rent. It's a fun couple of hours and it plays a lot like a movie, but I definitely wouldn't buy it as it has almost no replay value.

I loved Heavy Rain. Played through it a few times, actually. Definitely worth checking out IMO just because it's different from a lot of others. Seems to be one of those "like it" or "hate it" type games though from what I've seen. :b

I'm confused about why you'd choose short hair if it made you feel bad.

sometimes women really do prefer to wear their hair short but the societal pressuring and individual comments from people about how you'd be prettier with it long/it makes you look like a man/whatever make us feel terrible

It's funny--having long hair my entire life (because I like it that way, damn it) has gotten me no end of comments about how OMG AMAZING I would look if I chopped it all off, every summer people ask me when I'm going to cut my hair because it must be so hot and horrible having long hair when it's so hot and humid, and being told that I look childish and will never have a real professional job as long as my hair is long.

The only person you can ever hope to make happy, I have learned, is yourself.

Mine's long, but always pulled back and plaited - so then people ask why I bother having it long if I'm not going to 'do' anything with it. (Because short or loose, it gets in my face and drives me crazy, is why.)

Short hair isn't as common and definitely isn't as fetishized as long hair in video games, but it's hardly unheard of. I find it strange that it stood out to you in one particular game.

Though I suppose it depends on just how short you consider short.

It's not unheard of, but incredibly rare in comparison, especially at the length her's is. I can really only think of a small handful of (non-player created) female main characters with hair that short.

It was cool that she had it and it does make her appearance more memorable, I think.

Haven't played the game so I can't comment on the character, but it is pretty neat to see a shorter haired female game character. (Off the top of my head) I'm having trouble thinking of many.

But I think short hair is gorgeous too and can really suit a person (or character). I adore Ginnifer Goodwin with her short hair and think she's pretty much the cutest thing ever.

GG hair is horrible; it's okay from the front; it's not flattering to her from the side; it make her ears really obvious, large-looking, and a focal point. She either needs to pin her ears back or get a diff. short cut to distract from her ears/let her hair grow out a little to cover them.

Well that's your opinion. I like her ears and think they're adorable too.

I like her hair in the pic, OP, it's nice. Do you ever watch General Hospital? Maxie's actress has short hair that's really nice and that I think of cutting my hair like. It's currently almost elbow-length and I sometimes fall in love with it all over again this length. Drat it all.

Jennifer Hale didn't voice Madison. Judi Beecher did.

You must buy A LOT of games if your reason for buying them is Jennifer Hale. She's in EVERYthing.

My two cents, though: I really couldn't stand Madison as a character. I felt like she was shoehorned in there just to be a fanservice-y love interest for Ethan. Lauren was a FANTASTIC female heroine, complex and genuinely entangled in the drama. But Madison seemed to have no real reason to be involved with the plot other than the fact that ~she's a journalist~. The game would have lost nothing without her.

(And the fact that a sex scene with her is even an option is ridiculous to me, frankly. Everything the game tells us about Ethan makes it clear that he is the kind of man who would not waste a second in the pursuit of his son, and not let a single thing distract him.)
