a guy I knew in college used to quote that fucking gross Quagmire character all the time

surprise, surprise, he was kicked out of school for stalking and harassing (and possibly whatever else) women on campus

He faked other people's identities in order to harass writers of a cancelled show to keep it on air, for christ's sake!

No one cares if Sheldon is comfortable with that. His obsessive need for closure makes everyone else uncomfortable. That's the reason why it needs to be fixed. The world doesn't revolve around people with mental issues and other people aren't there to care for their comfort at the cost of their own.

People don't like Jacob? Why not?

I've been wondering this. I fear I'm about to lose my job because I can't cope with it and I haven't got it half as bad as what I see in these comments....

I have this Teen Wolf A/B/O fic series in the works in which this exact thing is mentioned. Humans call the sexes Alpha, Beta and Omega, but werewolves call themselves Alpha/Beta/Omega in regards to pack structure (Omegas being without pack) while their sexes are Delta, Epsilon and Sigma.

Since humans are more numerous though, their terminology is the "official" one, so when it comes to werewolf pack structure, humans call them "Pack Alpha", "Pack Beta" and "Pack Omega" (unofficially shortened as "P Alpha" etc.)

The werewolves themselves, however, use their own terminology.

So for werewolves Derek would be a Delta Beta, Scott an Epsilon Beta, and Stiles would be a Sigma.

For humans, Derek would be an Alpha P Beta, Scott a Beta P Beta and Stiles an Omega.

I know it gets hard to reply to letters sometimes, but that friend of yours sounds like a legitimately good friend. You don't get people like that who still actively remember who you are years later. Not talking to him anymore is probably your loss. But...

Please consider how he might be feeling worried or so forth over your disappearance. I had an IRL friend who moved away and disappeared on everyone she knew here, even going as far as to completely disappear from the internet as well. She didn't reply to any of our texts or calls or anything, and after a while I was starting to think she was suicidal, or perhaps even ill or passed away, and I wouldn't ever know what happened and if I could have done anything about it. It made me feel terrible. Her replying to my texts one day and exchanging only just a *few* words just felt like such a relief. Your friend may not expect you to reply with a huge long personal letter or whatever. Just a few simple words, an acknowledgement that you're still alive and OK, even if your priorities have changed and you may not have time to be that active on the forum again, would be all he could hope for.

Don't think people are constantly *expecting* something from you-- that's when things go from "fun" to becoming "work". Being more considerate of what others are feelings, and don't put made up words or expectations in their mouths. I'm sure you'll feel a lot more relieved on your end after you reestablish even just a brief contact with him. Think of it this way-- you stayed away for years and it's not like your feelings about this subject changed for the better; if anything, you let it fester and get worse. What's the worst that can happen if you reach out again? It doesn't sound like he'll get angry at you. What's the best thing that can happen? You guys become cordial, or even become good friends again.

Maybe just watch standalone hentai instead? That way you don't have to worry about seeing characters you know.

Alternatively, I know a lot of hentai sites/4chan threads are grouped by show/character, so you can just choose the ones you don't know.

The anon above said "...OCD is a hindrance that needs to be fixed when it's the actual condition and not people saying they're OCD as code for perfectionist." Clearly, Sheldon isn't suffering from OCD, and Amy is just a jerk.

Two sides:
Anons answering "Coward!" and "Check in, dammit!": No, there is no such law. Shit happens. It will to you too, and then you'll need patient friends. Be a patient friend.

Angsting anon: Stop making promises to yourself and others that you ALWAYS will answer. Than won't happen, if you live in RL. Shit happens. Saying to yourself that "This time I'll answer to all!" is setting yourself up for failure and digging your ditch deeper. Instead: tell your new friend up front that you need time off sometimes and not to worry about it. Taking a break is perfectly normal and healthy too. There are laws about vacation time, and they're there for good reasons.

Yeah, Togainu no Chi is pretty good! Most of my other recommendations are het or gen and pretty well-known, so sorry if you've played most of them :'(

Ever17
Remember11 (the ending is kind of unsatisfying and unless you work really hard, you'll have to look up the extra information that you get if you get 100% in the game, but I still really enjoyed it overall)
Chaos;Head
Sekien no Inganock (het sex scenes, but not too much and they add to the story
Shikkoku no Sharnoth (still playing it, but it's pretty good! the mini-game can be vexing, but there are maps available and I think there's sex in this game, but I haven't seen any scenes yet)
Yume Miru Kusuri (R18, het, and deals pretty heavily with bullying and drugs)
Saya no Uta (R18, het)
Swan Song (R18, one rape IIRC)
Hanachirasu (R18, het with some BL undertones that are kind of canon in one ending. not the greatest, but worth the read for its length)
Quartett! (R18, het. really good presentation)
Kara no Shoujo (R18, het. you might need a walkthrough because one investigation scene is super easy to mess up and the bad end for it cuts off about 80% of the game)

Except um I'm pretty sure the anon was someone who had a similar anxiety disorder and understands it's egoistic nature (and admits to the narcissistic slant) and thus how they got over it ...so like what is your point?
