Why should a pretty girl be waiting for you when you get home? I'm sorry if you have social anxiety, but "to come home and have a pretty girl waiting for me" sounds kind of entitled and/or Nice Guy-ish.

That's why OP should get a dog. You won't lose anything because you're already not diddling the cardboard girlfriend, and you get to have a live creature who waits for you to come home because it has no job, friends, or anything in its life other than you, the god of its universe.

Wanting a beautiful human, especially a woman, to be at home waiting for you when you come back from work or school still sounds douchey, no matter what gender you identify as.
I get what OP was trying to say, but I have met so many people by now who really wanted their partner to pamper their ass like a housewife from Pleasantville once they came home from "earning the money", so whenever I have to read such a sentence I just cringe.

A partner is a partner, not a butler. Their lives don't revive around you just because they love you.

Because we can only *assume* that the OP isn't a giant douche and meant the benign meaning - we don't actually *know* that he expects his hypothetical girl friend to be waiting at home for him. So, just in case he is a douchecanoe someone pointed out the problematic nature what he said.

Yeah. I don't think the OP meant "waiting for me" as in the woman herself would be actively waiting, so much as "being someone I would look forward to seeing when I got home".

Granted, it still smacks a bit of folks whose dream girlfriend will sit around at home available to them at all times while they themselves maintain gainful employment outside of their house and manfully provide for them, but it's not as bad as all that.
