What's New F!S?

Anyone into anything new of late? Shows, games, fandoms, hobbies, etc?

I have been getting into Moriarty/Moran fic for some damn reason. I blame the fancasts of Michael Fassbender but it sure if hard weeding out the BDSM fics.

I have also been making a shit ton of Band of Brothers GIFsets (I think 12 so far). Other than that, same shit different day.

What about you all?

I am slightly in love with The Bletchley Circle rn (yay! it got picked up! yay!), but unfortunately the show's Tumblr fandom gives me the creeping horrors. :-(

Just getting back into old things, I'm afraid. I am on a Yu-Gi-Oh kick right now like you wouldn't believe, and I just started rewatching Jackie Chan Adventures because that show is my baby. <3

I loved first...series Yu-Gi-Oh. The original one. :3 But I feel out of it once they stopped running it on Saturday mornings and started running the one with motorcycles.

I just discovered (like two years behind the times) Jack White's "new" band, The Dead Weather (co-fronted by the Kills' Allison Mossheart). They KICK ASS.

I'm drawing fanart for Free! Iwatobi Swim Club as we speak. I was looking forward to the anime but didn't expect to get so into it. It feels nice to be in a new fandom!

I recently got into Downton Abbey but I stopped mid-S3 because it just got too ridiculous to me. Now I'm trying to find new shows that are set in the same time period and have the same production values. I tried Mr. Selfridge but I just couldn't get into it. So currently still trying to find a Downton Abbey replacement.

I've really gotten into GW2 recently. I'd made a Sylvari a couple of months ago and have been playing her on and off with my bf but the other week I made a Norn Guardian just to try it out and OMG I LOVE HER. Instead of my bf being 'Guild Wars maybe?' at me I've been actively poking him to play it(I also think he's really happy that my interest has peaked in it since he enjoys it a lot).

I finally finished Metal Gear Rising (OMFG FINALLY) so I can totally focus on Shin Megami Tensei IV when it's out next week. I am so friggin' excited. :DDDD

I've just gotten into video games again after about sixteen years of not caring. Unfortunately, I am a) extremely broke, and b) the kind of person who buys nice cheap laptops for college use and not for hypothetical future gaming. Curse you, former self! I got all excited about the Steam sale and have spent most of today getting giddy about cheap games and then realising that they're almost all unplayable on my current laptop.

Oooh, but you've reminded me that I bought Band of Brothers a while ago and have not yet watched it!

The only way I've ever read Moriarty/Moran was if it was in a Sherlock/John fic. I don't hate the pairing but I've never had any interest in it. And I haven't been following the fandom recently so I've missed a lot of the fancasts, though even back when I was in fandom Michael Fassbender was a popular choice for Moran.

I finally finished the first seasons of Bates Motel and Defiance, restarted Metal Gear Solid 3 (got an hour in. Watched the cutscenes, did codec conversations, got my backpack full of food, and pretty much immediately got spotted by a couple of guards after I tranquilized one and another heard. Didn't have time to move him, was afraid to run lest I run into the backup, got caught... Shut off my console, sighed, said "Good gaming session" and haven't went back yet. SO PATHETIC) and got nowhere.

Decided to read some Cap comics in preparation of Winter Soldier (because it's not like I should finish the five or six series of DC comics I was reading a while back, hahaha...), so I'm doing that and watching a play-through of the video-game for the story. (Or Bucky. Well, both, but mostly Bucky. God this game is bad. But Bucky!)

Kinda want to try Longmire but a few of my shows are about to start back up so I'm not sure it's the best time.

I'm on a Numb3rs kick right now. I always liked the show in a kind of "Eh, why not, nothing else on!" way (it was always good but a little soulless for me) but there is some seriously good fanfiction. Lots of whump and casefic.

On a similar note, I've been writing SPN fanfic again...extrememly satisfying because I get so tired of the inability of the writers to give the characters a break.

I'm currently in Florida, visiting a friend I had met due to fandom activities. I've been here for nearly a week now, and we've had the time of our lives, wearing cute dresses and going places and doing things ♥

This has also been the first time in a long time I've had a vacation of any sort, so this has been just fantastic and exactly what I needed.
