Well, our basement has flooded with about 2 inches of sewage. Landlord called some plumbers and they could not remove whatever blockage is doing it. They said they will have to replace all the lines. So landlord wants to get a second opinion. And this pair of plumbers can't come until next Monday.

So we have to use as little water (showering, eating, using bathroom, definitely no washing clothes), until then. And our house smells like sewage (and there are gnats everywhere).

What's happening with yall F!S?

It's freakin' HOT! And not just hot, muggy as all out. You don't go out and walk to the mail box as much as swim to it. It's that humid. And every night is a sever thunder storm. It has become my lullaby.

Where are you at? I am in OK and it is super hot. But not that humid thankfully.

Wow, that's... awful. :(

Me: Had my one day off today. Yep, my weekend is a Monday! So being the exciting person I am I slept in, finished downloading AssCreed II on my 360 (I have it on PS3 but I love the game so much I couldn't resist getting it again for free, lol), cleaned, did errands, blah blah.

I guess it would have been a beach day but I'm the only one with Mondays off.

At least no one expects you to help them move! Because every one else is working on Mondays. :P

And really, that sounds like my weekend except no downloading video games.

I might have a new job opportunity but I'm nervous as hell, because I'd have to quit my current job with little/no notice, and I don't know what I'm going to do if I can't cut it at the new job.

Also I'm sharing a vehicle right now, so that complicates things.

You'll do great! It is always the anticipation that is the most stressful part. Hopefully once you get in there and start working, you will be too busy learning to worry. :)

It's so hot I'm always tired and sore and want to sleep.

That seems to be the general consensus. "Hot as Satan's balls" weather all around. And I understand the being tired and hot and wanting to sleep. The fan in my room didn't want to work after I woke up sweaty at like 2am. And I almost threw it across the room in heat induced anger.

Had a crappy day at work, my boss is being a dick, and there's something I have to do by the end of the week that I'm dreading. I was up most of the night last night stressing over it and got very little sleep so I'm just physically and mentally exhausted right now.

But I'm off tomorrow so I'm sleeping in and then spending all day watching TV and forgetting the world exists.

That sounds like the best plans. Just sleep in, watch some HGTV (or whatever your LEAVE ME ALONE WORLD show is), and glare at anything in your way.

That sucks. I hope it doesn't smell too bad. D:

Nothing much on my end. I went hiking yesterday but forgot to wear sunscreen, and now my nose and cheeks have a slight tinge and the tops of my ears are bright red. Everything else is pretty okay though. (Yay for Mediterranean ancestry.)

When you first get in the house it does a bit, but you get used to it. Just don't open the basement. Let's hope we don't have a tornado before it gets fixed.

I saw the Titan Arum in the DC botanical garden. Stood in line for ages, but I think it was worth it.

Then I went and did summer class stuff and walked my friend's dog.

The giant heat wave of super-humidity and mid-90s temperatures that has been plaguing northeast U.S. seems to have finally broken! Hurrah! Spent the whole day strolling around downtown eating Ben & Jerry's :D

It's been pretty hot here for a while now, went up north for the weekend and it was scorching on the friday/saturday while being more moderate on sunday/this morning but when I got back into London in the afternoon the heat was pretty unbearable. Also train delays, train delays everywhere.

My life has been pretty much going as expected the past couple months. Working part-time for the summer, sitting around on the comp, sort of making an effort to get my shit cleaned up to go back to school, and spending time with friends as much as I can. I love the hot weather.

I'm trying to finish my seventh chapter of a fanfic I'm writing and also trying to finish one of my paintings by the end of this week.

Why? Because this is my last week of semester break and next week I'll have to go back to college.

Other than that, it's all good.

I am in Los Angeles and... it smells bad. Oh, the excitement. I guess compared to a basement full of sewage I'm lucky tho, hope the plumbers can fix it at top speed!

I'm pretty sure that your landlord can't make you live like that for a week. Double-check your lease to see if it offers insight on safe living conditions. If they try to make you, contact the city health department, the better business bureau and, if you can afford one, a lawyer. Because if they can't fix your problem in a timely fashion, they need to be providing an alternative living situation until it is fixed.

And a week living with sewage and little water use is not sanitary.
