As a deaf person who downloads a lot of movies I've not had a great amount of trouble finding English subtitles.

I'll explain the joke for you.

The joke was that a deaf person would not be able to participate in an online discussion. The humour comes from the fact that the words in an online discussion are written not spoken. Therefore when I use that as justification for the belief that you not really deaf, it should be quite clear that I am not, in fact, actually doubting your disability.

I also don't believe you're a human being. I suspect you may be a less than average intelligence red setter. They too, are famous for not being able to take a joke at their expense. They tend to take quite a huff.

...you listed your age range on your LJ? Unless that was bogus, w/e. Like I said, I tried. I would have had much the same reaction (in fact, I think I did), as you, when I was younger. It was not a matter of "growing out of" anything btw and "lol ur so young" was NOT the intent I wanted to put across, apologies. My anger is definitely something that could have hung onto me for the rest of my life, if I had let it, and my life would have been a truly crapsack world indeed, if I had.

Like I said. The piece of fly feces wasn't worth it. Your thermonuclear reaction just goaded it even more, and it WILL be back, because of it. Just my experience.

You probably don't know how many of us depend on subtitles even on our own language because of hearing and/or other issues, just like people who watch something in a language they don't understand at all/well enough do.

Honestly, it's a valid comparison and secret's OP could find easily the subs they want. The only issue is their lack of "trust" on subtitle sites.
