I think they should have waited until they had more games out for the Wii U to release it. This is my only beef with nintendo really (well not only beef, but biggest one), I can't judge a system until I have some fucking games to play.

The 3DS is amazing though and I'm starting to think I may not even buy consoles anymore and just play handhelds.

I've noticed that whenever Nintendo releases a new console. It's like...okay, this sounds like it could be cool, but there's so few games/no games that I give a crap about that I have no incentive to try it. Then by the time I find enough games that justify me buying the new console, they're on to the next generation and then I have to weigh whether or not it's worth buying the 'old' one at that point...

I wish I could use the 3DS, there's so many awesome games for it and all my friends love it (also the new pokemon looks sweet~). But there's just something with the screens that gives me migraines if I play it for even a few minutes, even if I have the 3D turned off. Woe is me.

Do you play the normal 3DS or the XL? The normal 3DS does have a tiny screen, but maybe playing on the XL would solve your problem? I'll agree that having the 3D on makes my eyes sting after 45 seconds. Stuff is jarring to my retina.

I'd suggest Animal Crossing New Leaf and Fire Emblem: Awakening (also previous series titles /promotion, which that's a pun in itself) and the Rayman games along with the Tales of the Abyss port.

If that doesn't work out, sorry for your gaming woes. :( There's always Let's Plays you can watch, even if it's not the same (and sucks a whole lot more).

I think it was the XL that I was playing on. Not positive but the screen seemed enormous to me. Just something with how the light was glaring from it really bothered my eyes.

Then it might've been the brightness setting! If it's cranked up all the way, it could sting staring into it after a while, even more so if your eyes are sensitive. I have a normal 3DS and I play on the lowest brightness setting, I can play for hours as a result, also it preserves battery life. Sometimes though, when I enter places with really bright lights, I ask that they be turned off because it does hurt my vision. Maybe that's the problem? If so, there is an easy solution!

Yeah I find I have the same issue, by the time there are a lot of games out a new console comes around, but they still continue to release games for the old console? All the wii u has right now is Super Mario, and not much else. They're not even doing a new Zelda, just a HD remake which isn't even out yet.

Man that sucks about the 3ds, were you not able to play the DS then? Do other systems bother you? I usually tell people to turn the 3D off because it's really not the high point of the system, it's just a gimmick and it can hurt your eyes. I don't know what to say if the screens bother you without it though.

I can play my DS fine, there's just something different about the backlighting for the 3DS that really sets me off for some reason. It like...reflects through the screen in a weird way.

I had the same problem with the 3DS and migraines until I bought it.

Of course, I'm only playing Animal Crossing and not Star Fox, but.

Was it just something you needed more time to get used to, or different movements on the screen between the two games, or...?

AC isn't as fast fast one finger on the trigger at all times SOMETHING IS COMING AT YOU FROM THE SIDE TURN!

It moves on the screen a lot slower. I still don't blast 3D though, and you have to line your eyes up correctly.

Yeah, they definitely should have held off on releasing it until this year, at least. They still would have been first out the gate and the lineup would have looked a lot better.
