Health crap query
(Anonymous) 2013-09-12 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)Do standard blood tests cover things like nutritional deficiencies? Or would that be a special test? Also, do standard tests pick up on being sick, or illnesses in general?
/in which I have no idea about health exams at all ever

(Anonymous) 2013-09-13 12:07 am (UTC)(link)However, it sounds like they might be doing something a bit different since they're looking for something specific so it may be a different type of blood test. Best way to know would be to either ask the doctor who ordered them [preferably asking them] or the people who are going to be drawing the blood.

If you want to be screened for possible nutritional deficiencies you may have to ask specifically for it.
