Steve/Loki, yesss.

I've never thought about Lucifer/Castiel, but that's a good one. I ship Lucifer/Sam, but that's not as rare.

Crowley/Castiel really should be more popular.

I don't know if I have any rare pairs that I "legit" ship rather than just mildly enjoy the thought of (besides Steve/Loki). Maybe Cas/Benny, but, really, I ship Benny/Cas/Dean. It's like my only OT3 and it's not that rare.

Rose/Jade. But then again, the fandom is pretty big, so there's more stuff than there would be for a rarepair in a smaller fandom. I'm sure I have more but I can't really think of any. I haven't really been looking for fic lately.

The one I'm most miffed about right now is Sully/Vaike from Fire Emblem: Awakening. Their supports are super cute, and yet the fans only seem to have a pool of about three dudes to ship her with. :(

There's this Star Trek TNG episode, "The Enemy", where Geordi gets trapped on a dangerous planet with a Romulan dude, and by the end of the episode I shipped them. I have no doubt that I am the only person in the universe who ships this (because the Romulan dude was only in that one episode, and no1curr about one-shot characters).

Finished watching Sherlock on December 30, started writing fic on January 8, and can't believe I still ship it so hard all these months later.

Picard/Crusher: not exactly unicorn-rare, but most of the fandom and fic seems to have died with geocities. :(

Eliot/Nate: I admit I mostly friendship it, but this dynamic needs more fic!! OT3 is great and all, but come on. "It's not my job [to walk away], it's my job to have your back, and Nate, I'm gonna do it. All the way down." I have a weakness for 'You're probably gonna get me killed but my loyalty to you is absolute'.

Josiah/Maude Standish (Magnificent 7): she's a conwoman, and Ezra's mother besides, he's a former preacher with a philosophic bent and rage issues. Yet somehow I ship it like burning.

Most of my rarepairs are made that much more rare by virtue of the fandoms being tiny. Like Sydney/Hardin. Or Masaki/Teshimine. Fandoms for Vagrant Story and Get Backers don't really exist anymore... though even when they did, I was one of like three people writing either. Apparently no one likes dudes with facial hair. :P (At least until Tiger & Bunny fandom came along! Ozaki was right about beards being "the kiss of death" for most characters in fandom.)

Kirk/Spock/McCoy is rare? That's the ship I have that I see the most fic for out of anything, though possibly it's just by virtue of fandom being huge.

Still, if that's considered rare, I think I only have like... two pairings that could be considered NOT rare. Kotetsu/Barnaby and Phoenix/Edgeworth are the most popular pairings in those fandoms, everything else I ship is either rare by way of small fandoms or minor characters no one else paid attention to. :P

no, I'm not kidding. It's mainly because of Jesus Christ Superstar, a play which is a very sexual experience for me. lol but I don't mean it in an anti-religious way, or a religious way (not Christian), just fucking love the pair.

Nuada/Nuala, I do wish there was more fic for these two but I also totally get why they aren't a huge ship(hint:it's incest).
Vergil/Kat, from the dmc reboot which the internet seems to hate so finding anything for it is difficult.
Beckett/Lanie, I've only found one fic for these two.
Arithon/Elaira, there is no fandom.

I seem to mostly get lucky otherwise and either ship the Big Fandom Pairing or the fandom is large enough that I can find enough fic for a smaller pairing.

I love them so hard :'( And while K/S is amazing, them as a badass triad of faithful husbandos makes even more sense than just the K/S. TOS-based works beautifully, but if you take the movies made after TOS into account, it's canon as fuck.

Why is this even a rareship.
