8. I think one of my favorite scenes in the entire series thusfar is the one from "Conflict Resolution" where Michael is reading aloud every complaint regarding every prank Jim has pulled on Dwight and they just keep cutting back to Jim as he slowly but surely realizes that he's actually kind of a douchebag. I enjoy him in the show but I completely agree that if I knew him in real life I would probably really detest him.

6. I wouldn't feel too bad. I found that one of the trickier parts in the game.

13. Again, I wouldn't feel too bad, sinec I think the whole show is sort of supposed to be a big ball of UST between Itoshiki and his students. Honestly I could take or leave the whole "OMG everybody's so fucked up" thing; I'm just watching for the stunning art direction.

15 - *raises tentative hand* That's a large reason I love them so much, too. Not the only reason, of course, but the ship is just so hauntingly sad...

28 - I personally like Matt, and I think some fanon is definitely necessary if an author wants to write him, but I agree that it has gotten out of hand sometimes. A bit of fanon, especially fanon that's a semi-logical extrapolation of his actions in DN, is cool. But when someone takes a characteristic and blows it out of proportion(like absolutely-subservient-puppy!Matt, which I'll admit annoys me), I can see where there might be a problem. And you're definitely right about the 'focusing on him above all others,' bit. I like his character, but it seems like everybody who didn't give up DN after L's death kind of forgot about L, or ignored Near or the SPK or Misa and Raito/Light and every other interesting character. *sighs sadly*

40 - I might know who you are, and that terrifies me. I'm probably way off base, but even if I am, don't be discouraged. You're right; it's your community. Yes, it's a community for everyone, and they all own shares in it, but you're the founder, the mod, and if you love it, stick with it.

16. From what I've seen, people in Xenosaga fandom tend like Episode II's battle system while people who aren't in fandom hate it. I'm odd for being in Xenosaga fandom and loathing Episode II's battle system.

You think admitting liking Episode II's battle system is bad? Try being a person who likes Episode III's system the best. DX I'd gladly give up the coordinate-an-attack-to-a-button-same-strategy-every-battle repetitive mishmash of the first two games (unlike most fans, I don't think it was that cool. Games like Tales of the Abyss pull this off better.) for the traditional-RPG-system-but-actually-offers-variety-and-doesn't-move-at-a-snail's-pace of the third.

34. I started watching what has become one of my favorite anime because the opening theme was hot. Hell, I only found out about it because of a parody video that redid the opening with characters from one of my other fandoms.

16. Oh man, Xenosaga will probably always be my most favourite RPG ever, even before Final Fantasy (except for FF7 because that has lots of nostalgia for me) and it was the first fandom I was ever really serious about. I've met some of the most awesome/intelligent people (that I adore to bits) thanks to the XS fandom, too. I'm sure it'll probably stay the same size it is now because the games are finished with...least I hope it does, since it's pretty much the ideal fandom size right now. Not too big for wank, but not too small that people don't know about it :3

28. I never really cared for him that much, either. I wouldn't dislike him at all if everyone didn't make such a big deal about him make him seem like he's better than some of the more important characters. And when anyone dares insult him, the fngirls go nuts. Scary and oppressive fandom is scary and oppressive.

17. Well, I don't think that's any reason to be ashamed! ;) FFVII got me through a tough time as well - nothing wrong with admitting that. Despite all of the wank and hype, I still think it's a great game.

21. I seem to remember more people taking issue with the "crazy yaoi fangirls" bit than the stuff about the "childish" plot.

I responded to a comment on the first page with why I hate the manga, and I don't really feel like typing it all out again. Sorry. :/ I will, however, answer your question - I don't hate Winry. I didn't like her at first, but it wasn't for shippy reasons, and now I don't love her, but I like her. I actually ship Al/Winry as well, though not as much as Ed/Al. I don't like Ed/Winry (AT ALL), but I've dealt with bigger disappointments canon-pairing-wise, so that wouldn't stop me from reading it. There are other issues for me.

I think they're both great games. Mario RPG is actually not really like Paper Mario at all; I don't know how it was considered a sequel except in the "it's an RPG and not a side-scroller!" way.
