Well, not any slash, because as long as there's two guys in a bit of media, people will slash them, whether or not it makes sense or they're close relatives or they hate each other or whatever...it's just what fandom does. But, yeah, I have to agree, the lack of two young white guys probably does cut down on the amount of loud, overenthusiastic slashing quite a bit.

Yes, instead it's a fandom that's all about the hit ship between the male lead and the female lead. We've never had that before. It doesn't get repetitive at all.

I agree, the last thing I need on my dash is a dozen more messages about how Ichabod is totally bi or gay in denial, how putting your favorite shit to jill off to on screen is such a social justice issue, and the writers are just pandering by dropping hints that demand frame-by-frame interpretation of glances and accented syllables.

Not to mention the smushnames. Ichaben. Ichaton. Ichapaul. Smushnames created by the same things that crawled out of the bottom of an overturned rock and thought "Spirk" was a fucking good idea.
