Dumb Questions!

So I'm going to ask a dumb question. If you know the answer, great! Let me know. If you don't, that's okay. I figure lots of people have dumb questions like me that they need answered. So ask a dumb question you've been thinking about for a long while and just need the answer to. Answer a few if you can.

My dumb question: Say I want to breed a pokemon of a certain nature from the daycare. If I save right before the pokemon hatches will it change if I reload the game and try again or is it predetermined from the moment the egg comes into my possession?

And if you don't care about pokemon here's a different dumb question. Why do little kids have a sticky jam hands phase? They're not around jam or even sticky things but somehow their hands are as sticky as if they got jam on them! How? Why?

Mmm.. I looked on google where people asked about soft resets (pokemon egg hatching + soft resets)... and they say nope. The DVs are set once you get the egg.

Kids are collectors of everything sticky. I think its a combo of not washing hands right away + collecting dirt + sweat that makes the hands sticky over time.

Moment it comes into your possession. If you want to get a certain nature just make on of the breeding Pokémon with the nature you want hold an everstone and I think it's either 50% or 100% chance they'll have the same nature.

Do dog booties work for anyone?

Because I got my dog a pair and after she adjusted to walking in them she really liked them but they KEEP COMING OFF no matter how tightly I secure them. I'm sure they're the right size and she isn't pulling them off herself or exaggerating her movements to get rid of them. When they fall off she patiently picks them up and brings them to me to get put back on but after a while she gets frustrated and would rather just play until she's too cold, warm up, and then beg to go back out.

I wish I had an answer for you. Whenever I see them on other people's animals they work so maybe it's the brand you have?

I have some for my dog (Ruffwear) and they fit well but one boot would always fall off. After a couple times I watched to figure out what it was and she was not picking her feet up all the way so she'd sort of scuff one boot and it would slowly get pushed down and off. Maybe your dog is doing something similar?

I've heard people saying getting doggy socks to go with the boots sometimes makes the fit more secure, but I have no idea if that actually works.

She has the ankle boot type, and I think if I had gotten the style that goes further up the leg I wouldn't have had the slipping off problem. But she needed them for desert walking so I thought these might be the cooler (temperture wise) option.

Do you think if I made an account people would be more likely to hold discussions with me (on FS)?

I really prefer to be anon, but sometimes in a thread I'll notice people with accounts chatting back and forth but my anon comments may go ignored. :X

I dunno. It really depends on what you have to say.

I know if you talk to me I generally reply. If you would like more people to talk to you maybe you should put more questions in? Hmmm, you can always make an account and test it out. If you don't see a difference you can go back to being anon.

Thing is though, having an account doesn't mean you can't go anon. You can do both if you want.

Just creating an account won't do anything, but if you comment enough you'll eventually be recognized and people who like/dislike what you have to say are more likely to comment back.

I like being anon myself, but being unanon has its benefits too. I'd say give it a shot and comment with an account for a week or two and see how you feel about it afterwords.

I like to chat with anons but it depends on what they say, and if I drop a conversation it usually means I didn't have anything to add.

The way that having an account will help you, I think, is that they remember you. They know your fandom interests and general opinions and that context does help for a longer conversation.

If I'm talking to you one day and ignoring you the next, well, it's because I don't know you're you! But then it's also kind of more honest? Because you know I'm responding directly to the comment you made and not, you (although generally I make friends here with the people whose comments I like, so)

(I'm a little tipsy so this might be really stupid)

I probably anon 50-70% of the time if that helps.

Yes and no. Obviously some of it has to do with your comments, but it is pretty common for anons to be ignored in threads and named users to get replied to more often

1. I don't really keep up with f/f stuff much (or any romance for that matter, just not my thing), but I wouldn't mind more f/f relationships casually in things where it isn't the main focus.

2. Water. I really identify with healers in fantasy settings for some reason, so I'd probably do more that than any fighting.

1) Just... more of it. More things that are laid-back and casual and kind of sunny, I guess. And maybe more humor.
2) I don't know what is Avatar. Earth I guess, because when it's down to elemental things I usually choose Earth.

1 is the only one I am qualified to answer, but I want an f/f story like the Princess Bride. Something fairytaleish and epic and silly and dizzyingly romantic with swordfights and magic and the whole nine yards.

Actually, I just want more OTT feel-good romances for f/f couples. The fairy-tale setting is optional (but desirable).

1. Conflict not entirely revolving around the fact that it's f/f but other people have said the same thing, so, um, how about girls who are friends for a while and are either both aware of their sexualities before meeting or neither aware before meeting? The "girl with repressed sexuality moves to new town and falls for openly queer girl" trope (or vice versa) gets old.
