That tumblr is sooooo fucking stupid. Goes back to the black/white vision of celebs. That said, I would love for them to try and find something problematic about Tom Hiddleston.

Give it time, he can only be in tumblr's good graces for so long(not that I want the tumblr shit-storm to hit him but I'm kind of waiting for it to happen).

I'm kind of waiting for it too. He's going to say something and then it'll spiral out of control.

Hm. They HAVE said people were problematic for some of the roles they take.

They think appearing as a fictional character who does "problematic" things, even if they make sense in context and are even portrayed as BAD, makes the actor portraying that character equally problematic. Like John Slattery doing blackface and singing "Swanee" in Mad Men is listed. Context is NOT for the weak and characters ≠ their actors.

They tried. Do you remember when he did that food thing for charity? There were all sorts of people being like "OMG HE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT IT'S REALLY LIKE TO LIVE ON A DOLLAR A DAY, HE'S APPROPRIATING STARVATION!!!!" (no, really, that was the argument)

Everyone forgot about it in about five minutes. Apparently Tom Hiddleston is immune.

How on earth do you appropriate starvation? O_o

There was some kind of post about how people should stop liking him because all of the reasons they like him are because he had a privileged upbringing only white english dudes get that allows him to be so joy and sunshine filled and shakespeare-knowing and fawning over him like he's special reinforces stereotypes that privileged people are inherently better instead of just lucky. IDK I kind of rolled my eyes and kept scrolling.

Too be fair people sitting like that is really annoying. I think I can get behind the ?point? of the blog.

It's all about men spreading their legs and taking up space on the bus/train. Like Kaijin said, the majority of the pics are on buses with seats to spare, and I'm pretty sure if someone asks nicely those guys would move over to let someone sit down.

According to movethefuckoverbro, all men threaten and attack women just for daring to ask for a seat. I don't doubt the horror stories involving asking someone to move (because some people are just violent assholes like that) but I don't think it's as rampant as that site would lead you to believe.

Ah I only skimmed it. I saw the hiddleston post ages ago but didn't realise there was a blog.

I'm sure it's not that prevalent, I just see it as an annoying thing people do on transport (I see maybe one person every other train ride?). Like putting bags on the seats. Both are ok if it's not busy, but if it's busy you should close your legs and move bags out of the way for people. >:[
